Summary
If you asked James Webb how he was alive today, he would not be able to answer you. Los Angeles Defense Attorney, James Webb has been in way more shit then he has ever imagined. An abusive ex-wife, diagnosed Depression, not to mention all the close calls while working with defendants (most of them being his best friend's Mickey Haller's clients.) Well if James had any answer for you, it would be somewhere along the lines of "Mickey would drag me back from the grave and kill me himself if I ever died."
Well one night while sitting with his daughter, comforting her from a nightmare, James gets a call from his next A list client, Luis Flores, charged with the murder of a rich business man with a whole lot of enemies. With the little evidence the police and LAPD have, this should be the easiest paycheck of James's life...right?
