    “Your move, solider,” he says, rolling his shoulders back, shifting his stance to the balls of his feet, ready to counter whatever it is Katz throws at him, but-

    between one blink and the next-

    before he can even try to counter-

    He’s on the ground.

    “Wanna tell me what this is really about, Diego?” Katz finally questions, head tilted and brows raised.

    Diego bares his teeth in what only technically counts as a smile, and demands, “do you love him?”
