Summary
"No matter how much you eat, you are never full. Why starve yourself of your birthright?"
The glowing eyes in the dark that tell him this are eerily familiar. Eyes and a voice that belongs to someone who's dead.
"I don't have to listen to you. Not anymore," he challenges with a snarl, "This is all just a dream."
"But the hunger you feel isn't. You'll see soon enough."
He wakes with a start. His stomach growls.
(Bartleby begins to hear the Call of the Wild. He's afraid of answering it.)
