Skeppy’s phone rang. He groaned into his pillow, silently cursing whoever was calling him this early in the morning until realization slowly hit him. There was only one person going through his do not disturb. Only one person could wake him up with a call. The very same person that he knew he could finally hang out with in real life. His mood got better instantly as he pressed the accept icon.
“Morning Bad!” He yawned and stretched, slowly dragging himself out of his blanket and sitting up. “Morning ‘Geppy! Aw, did I wake you up? I’m sorry, I just couldn’t wait to get to hang out with you some more!” Skeppy felt himself smile fondly. Right, Bad was here. Bad was right here, close to his home, with him. Bad could just come over and they could spend the entire day doing whatever they wanted to do together. The long-awaited meetup was finally reality. Even if it took over four years.
“Nah you’re fine Bad! Just come over, I’m already getting up.” Skeppy replied, pushing himself off his bed to get ready. “Oh that’s great! I’m at your front door, so you just gotta let me in!” Skeppy’s grin just widened even more. “...You’re actually at my front door already, even without knowing whether I’m already up or still sleeping?” A long moment of silence. Skeppy could visually imagine Bad’s flustered expression now. And it was beautiful.
“...I missed you okay? You don’t gotta worry about that! Just open your door so I can get in!” Skeppy laughed and hung up, making sure he looked at least somewhat presentable, before trotting over to his door and opening it to come face to face with a very awake but very pouty BadBoyHalo. He yawned again and stepped to the side. “Just come in and make yourself at home alright? I still need to get ready n stuff..–”
He didn’t get to say anything else as Bad squished him in a hug. Skeppy choked on his words, then laughed and patted his best friend’s back. “What’s that for Bad?” Bad grumbled a quiet “...you hung up on me.” into his shoulder. Skeppy nearly burst out laughing at that. “..’ts not funnyyyy!” Bad complained, but Skeppy simply hugged him back tightly. “It is pretty funny if you think about it, ClingyBoyHalo.” Bad let out an offended gasp. “Alright that’s it! No more hugs for you Skeppy!” Ironically, he didn’t let go. “Whatever you say.” Skeppy mumbled, tired, and was almost ready to fall asleep on the spot. But he had to get up at some point. And it would surely be awkward to fall asleep standing up while your best friend is hugging you.
Begrudgingly, the two separated. As though it wasn’t an undeniable fact that they’d use any opportunity for hugs. Because while being a self-proclaimed hug-hater, Bad’s rule apparently didn’t apply to Skeppy. And Skeppy? Skeppy absolutely could not complain. His best friend had to be the most huggable person he knew. And getting to be the only one that close to him whenever sent a feeling of warmth down his spine.
“You’re a sleepy muffinhead aren’t you?” Bad interrupted his thought process. Skeppy quickly shook his head and smiled. “Only slightly. But I definitely will not be missing out on getting to spend time with you! Lemme just go get dressed and then we can go get coffee somewhere? Maybe that’ll wake me up.” Bad leaned onto the wall outside of Skeppy’s bedroom as Skeppy went in to change. “I’d like that! And maybe later we can watch a movie and cuddle if you wanna? Then you get to rest AND spend time with me.” Skeppy couldn’t think of anything he’d wanted to do more than that.
The day went on as good as it could be. They had breakfast in a coffee shop, bickered about any conversation topic that came up, and laughed (Well, at least Skeppy did) far too much as Bad once again accidentally spilled his coffee all over the table and his shirt.
And if Skeppy apologized a thousand times in the bathroom while Bad cooled the burns left behind, and if Bad just hugged him and told him it was alright, and if Bad left the coffee shop wearing Skeppy’s jacket over his own, that was nobody’s business but theirs.
On their way back to Skeppy’s apartment to get changed and watch some movies, Bad’s eyes seemingly caught onto a jewelry store at the side of the road and he pulled on Skeppy’s sleeve. Skeppy stopped and looked at him expectantly.
“Can we stop here real quick? I gotta check something. Are you gonna wait for me or are you gonna go back?” Skeppy shrugged and leaned against the next wall. “Don’t take too long!” Bad grinned at him and disappeared into the store.
He returned not too long after, holding something in his hand. Skeppy tried to see what it was, but Bad quickly hid it in his pocket. “Later.” He poked Skeppy’s cheek and then proceeded to take him by the arm and drag him along in the direction of their destination: Home. Skeppy smiled to himself. 'Home’, as he learnt, was wherever he got to be next to Bad. No matter in which situation. Where they were, where they went, ‘home’ was much more of a person than anything else.
They did soon arrive at Skeppy’s apartment tho, ordering Pizza for dinner and cuddling up to each other on the couch. Rocco and Rat were fast asleep on the carpet in front of them. The two dogs fit perfectly together. Just like their owners. Skeppy felt the gentle weight of Bad’s head on his shoulder, and the entirety of their bodies curled into one another. It was comfy and perfect and he couldn’t imagine a place he’d rather be in right now. And then, he remembered Bad’s short detour to the jewelry store.
“Now, what did you buy back in that store? Didn’t you once say you’re not much of a jewelry person?” Bad seemed to be overtaken by something akin to a blush and he hid his face in Skeppy’s shoulder. “...Promise you won’t laugh at me?” He asked, carefully. Skeppy ran his fingers through Bad’s hair and smiled. “I won’t, promise. Now tell meeeee! I’ve been waiting the entire afternoon!”
Bad slowly pulled a little box out of his pocket and opened it, showing Skeppy what was inside. A ring. It was simple. Silver, with some letters engraved into the inside. Skeppy took note of it being a date. And a very specific one at that. 18.October. He already simply had to grin. The 18th of October was probably his favorite day of the year. Why? Because on that day, many years ago, was when it happened. Precisely: Him and Bad happened, him and Bad became friends, and would stay like that for many, many years to come. There was still some confusion about everything tho.
“Is this like- A proposal or something?” He teased, giving Bad a smirk. Bad flushed and turned away quickly. “NONONO- I just- It’s- stupid, I’d say. And obviously you don’t gotta accept it and–” Skeppy grabbed Bad’s free hand and squeezed. “C’mon, go on, what was your idea? I wanna hear it!”
Bad seemingly pulled himself together, nervously looking at the couch in between them. “I just thought of a cute concept y’know? What if one of us keeps the ring and wears it during the meetup, and then, once the meetup is over, the person holds onto it till the next one. And when the next one happens, the other takes it till the meetup after that. And so on, and so on. It’s like some sort of promise almost, y’know?”
Skeppy felt himself nearly die. It was adorable. And Bad’s shy embarrassment just made it even better. “...You mean like a promise to see each other again soon? Something to always keep each other close, even when we’re apart?” Bad just gave him a nod in response.
“I love that!” Skeppy exclaimed. Bad’s expression lightened up in an instant. “You do?!” Skeppy laughed. “Yeah I do. So, who’s gonna hold onto it first?” Instead of answering, Bad just took Skeppy’s hand in his own and carefully slipped the ring on. Skeppy felt himself blush at that gesture.
“There we go, it’s on. And next time we meet up you’ll just give it to me!” Skeppy smiled at the ring for a solid 20 seconds, then he looked up and jumped Bad in a hug, making them both fall backwards into the cushions. Skeppy laughed, Bad joined in, and then squeezed him tightly, refusing to let him get up. Not that Skeppy had wanted to get up in the first place.
‘Come to think of it..’ Skeppy thought. ‘It somewhat feels like a platonic wedding of sorts.’
He liked that thought.

“BAAAD!” Skeppy squealed. “SKEPPY!” Bad yelled back across the baggage claim hall. A few people shot them weird looks, but Bad couldn’t find it in himself to care as Skeppy sprinted towards him at a speed he would’ve never suspected. He barely had time to open his arms as Skeppy crashed into them in an instant, burying his face in Bad’s shoulder.
Bad nearly teared up at the feeling of finally having Skeppy in his arms again. Sure, it hadn’t been that long since their last meetup. But he missed his muffin so much the entire time. It was like once Bad had finally taken that step and actually met up with Skeppy, he didn’t want to be separated from him ever again. The comparably short time they did meet up was more than enough to make him wish for his best friend to be next to him all the time. Maybe he should at least consider the move-in part they’ve been somewhat thinking about.
“You nearly ran me over, you muffinhead.” He spoke softly, spinning in slow circles with Skeppy squished close to him. “Shuddup. Am I not allowed to hug my best friend to death after missing him for far too many weeks?” Bad felt warmth spread throughout his entire existence at Skeppy’s overly fond statement. Had he missed him just as much? It sure did seem like that right now.
“You’re absolutely allowed to hug me. But don’t kill me! ‘Cause then there would be no more meetups ever again.” Skeppy laughed and snuggled closer. “Fine, fine. No killing. Just very tight squeezing.” Bad was more than fine with that. He couldn’t care less about the strange looks people were giving them. All he cared about was his Skeppy. Right here. In his arms. “You wanna go get your luggage and move it to my car?” Skeppy mumbled. And as much as Bad wanted to stay in this moment for just a bit longer, it might be a good idea to get moving.
So, begrudgingly, he let Skeppy go. “Sounds like a good idea. More hugs later?” Bad knew he didn’t even have to ask. Skeppy agreed with an excited nod and then went to pull Bad along to get his belongings. A few minutes later, they finally made it out of the airport and to the parking lot where Skeppy’s car was already waiting for them. Bad placed his things in the backseat and then got in next to Skeppy.
“Alright, let’s get home! Rocco missed you too. ..Not as much as I did tho.” Bad laughed at that. “Alright fine, if it’s for Rocco, I guess we can go home.
Home. It was kind of funny to him. Bad didn’t live with Skeppy, or even anywhere near Skeppy. Yet still, he felt more at home with Skeppy than anywhere else. Skeppy was his home. And maybe, just maybe, not only figuratively one day.
As soon as they got to Skeppy’s apartment, Bad was instantly greeted by a big, white ball of fluff. Rocco happily wagged his tail as Bad crouched down to pet him, talking to him softly and in return getting a dog nose shoved in his face, making him laugh. Skeppy only watched with a fond expression. Something something about dogs loving who their owners love.
After bringing Bad’s things to Skeppy’s guest room, they instantly threw themselves on the couch. Bad was exhausted from his flight, despite it not being that long. And so they decided to simply spend the day at home, talking, catching up, ordering dinner and planning out the troll stream that would end with the widely popular event of Bad walking into Skeppy’s room in real life, entirely unexpected. Their community would love that for sure, and they’d have fun messing with them in real life.
They ordered dinner, both deciding that going outside again that day was overrated, and then watched yet another random movie in the background while being basically solely focused on each other either way. Bad felt himself nearly fall asleep to the comfy warmth of having Skeppy as a living plushy when said living plushy suddenly nudged him gently.
“Bad? You still awake?” Skeppy whispered. Bad yawned and grumbled out a ‘Hm?’. Skeppy chuckled, something Bad felt in his entire body as he was basically on top of the other.
“You can go to sleep if you wanna, just, we still gotta do this before we both eventually end up passing out.” Bad lifted himself off of Skeppy and stretched his arms. “Sure, what’s up?” Skeppy laughed and grabbed one of Bad’s hands in his own, holding them both up in front of their faces.
“The ring, sleepyhead, remember? We said we’d switch it around each meetup!” Of course Bad remembered, and suddenly he was wide awake at seeing the silver band on Skeppy’s finger. He gasped. “..You’re still wearing it?” He asked, carefully. Skeppy laughed and nodded. “Of course I am! All the time! When I visited my family a few days after you left, they even asked me whether I somehow got married.”
Bad flushed at that and looked away, playing with one of his sleeves. “..Sorry if it causes any issues for you. People are gonna assume you’re taken when they see this.” Skeppy just shook his head amused and Bad felt his best friend’s hand reach out for his cheek and make him look at him.
“You know what, Bad? I don’t mind. I don’t know, I kinda like the concept of people thinking I’m taken if it’s by you. You’re my favorite person in the world. Bad’s brain promptly started short-circuiting at the attempt to process the implications these words held.
“And besides,” Skeppy continued, “I basically am taken by you. I mean, half of our community and our friends are convinced I am anyways. What’s the big difference? I kind of am yours anyways!” Bad was already malfunctioning at the first part of Skeppy’s statement. The last felt like a punch to the gut, but in a positive way. Skeppy only laughed.
“Aw, Bad, don’t be too embarrassed alright?” Skeppy took it upon himself to take off the ring and place it on Bad who simply watched, shocked and flustered. Finally, he seemed to find his voice again. “You mean that?” He asked, carefully. “Hm?” Skeppy played around with the other’s fingers. “That.. you don’t mind it? People thinking that we’re like- y’know-”, “Together?”, “..yea, that one.”
“I already told ya,” Skeppy repeated, lifting Bad’s hand up close to his face. “I don’t mind people thinking I’m taken if it’s by you.” Then, he pressed a careful kiss to Bad’s hand. It wasn’t particularly long, more something experimental. Something to test what was okay. And oh dear was it more than okay for Bad.
They didn’t talk about it, not yet, neither the words, nor the kiss.
And if little gestures like said kiss became somewhat embedded into the routine of existing together in real life, nobody had to know but themselves.

“Alright then, see you guys tomorrow morning! Don’t stay up too late!” Hannah waved at them, before disappearing in the direction of her hotel room. Skeppy and Bad waved after her, both still standing in the lobby. They just returned from getting dinner with their friend. It was the first evening of their arrival in Anaheim. The next few days would be filled with panels, meet and greets, and just a lot of Vidcon stuff. But they could still enjoy the free time they had.
Skeppy stared into nothingness for a while. He didn’t feel like going to his room and sleeping quite yet. And, judging by Bad’s restless shifting from one leg to the other, he didn’t either. Skeppy gently nudged Bad’s side with his elbow and Bad snapped out of whatever daze he was in.
“Hm?” Bad asked. Skeppy grinned. “Wanna take a walk or something? I don’t really feel like sleeping yet and we just got to meet again after you ditched me for a virtual Minecraft egg for almost three months!” Bad gasped in offense. “I did not ditch you for Dapper!” Skeppy chuckled under his breath. “...You did tho. May I remind you? ‘I can’t come over right now, I need to watch over the egg and make sure he doesn’t die. How about another time?’ Sounded like you’d rather take care of a roleplay egg than visit me.”
Bad looked like he wanted to say something, then shut up. Then he looked down. “Sorry Skeppy, I just-” Skeppy immediately shook his head and sidestepped to gently knock into his best friend and pull him out of the apology hole he was about to dig himself into. “Hey, it’s okay Bad, no need to say sorry. I understand your attachment to our virtual egg child. And three months is already much better than the four years I spent waiting for that first meetup. As long as you don’t forget about me, which you never do, I’ve seen both of the 50 minute compilations-”, “THERE’S ANOTHER ONE?!”, “-There very much is.” Bad hid his face behind his hands. Skeppy laughed.
“As I was saying, as long as you don’t forget about me, everything’s alright. And I’m just grateful for every time I get to hang out with you. In real life, online, whenever. So don’t worry about that. I know that you’d never replace me. And I know that you’d be at my place in a matter of hours if I really needed you to.
In the dimly lit hotel lobby, with nobody in sight, Skeppy leaned up and kissed Bad’s cheek. Not jokingly, or to mess around and make him blush, like in the Valentine’s cooking stream with Hannah, but just genuine, soft and warm affection for Bad and Bad only. “Now c’mon.” Skeppy spoke softly and pulled a very flustered Bad to his side by the hand, interlocking their fingers. “A little fresh air and then we can go to my room and- I dunno, cuddle and watch a movie?” Bad seemed to like the idea.
Anaheim at night was, like every other remotely big city in the US, still somewhat brightly lit. A bunch of people were still out on the streets, celebrating parties or hanging out in clubs, but thankfully none of them paid attention to the tired content creators strolling down the street. Skeppy kept a firm hold on Bad’s hand. They didn’t speak after the kiss, but it wasn’t awkward. Not at all. It was more just their silent communication. A language with no words, but both of them were fluent in it.
It was present in the way they walked next to each other at the exact same speed, present in the mutual connection of their hands as neither of them wanted to let go, present in stolen side glances and shy smiles whenever their eyes met, present in the way they walked so close, one could barely make out where one person ended and the other began.
They reached a secluded place soon, a bench in a smaller street further away from where all the people were. It was lit up by a single street lamp. The two of them sat down. They were all alone, fairly late at night, just enjoying each other’s company. Skeppy loved these moments with Bad. Moments that were just so quiet, peaceful and private, no cameras anywhere, none of their loud yet lovable friends around. This was no content, no pressure. Just them, the street lamp, and the night.
Skeppy felt an arm wrap around his shoulders, Bad pulling him into his side like he’d done so many times. Skeppy closed his eyes and rested his head on his shoulder. Bad’s breath fanned over the top of his head, giving away that he was looking at him, at Skeppy, nothing else. Then, Bad nestled his chin into Skeppy’s hair and his other arm came around to enclose the circle that was now just a full hug. Skeppy smiled against the fabric of his jacket. He loved Bad, he really did. So much.
“Hey ‘Geppy?” Bad spoke quietly, after countless minutes of just sitting there in that hug. “Hm?” Skeppy replied, nuzzling closer. “Gimme your hand real quick.” Skeppy did as Bad asked and immediately a grin overtook his entire face as he noticed their ring. The ring that Bad was now giving back to Skeppy after safekeeping it for such a long time.
“There we go, now you’ve got it again. And this time I hopefully won't take three months to come see you again.” They both just sat silently for another minute. Skeppy looked at the silver ring. He still thought that it was one of the best ideas Bad ever had.
“Y’know Skeppy, I always think of you when I see it. I mean, I generally do think about you a lot, but, especially when I look at this. I just see the ring and my brain goes ‘Soon I’ll see my Skeppy again and then I get to hang out with and hug him.’ and it just makes me really happy. ..Having you in my life- just- makes me really happy. And I really appreciate you for existing and dealing with me all the time. I just wanted you to know that.”
Bad smiled softly. Skeppy was simply red, incapable of processing the words. He stared at his favorite person, his favorite person was staring right back. Bad tilted his head to the side. “Everything alright Skeppy? You’re completely red! What’re you thinking about?” Skeppy, with his dysfunctional brain and weakened willpower, didn’t even realize what he was saying before it was already out and he instantly felt himself begging the words to go unspoken, or for Bad to not have heard them. Judging by Bad’s expression tho, he definitely did hear them.
“I’m thinking about how I really want to kiss you right now.”
When the realization of his words hit him, he scrambled to sit straight up, jumping away from Bad in horror at his own actions. “I mean- No- I- I did not say that- Ignore that, please, just- Forget I ever said anything. I’m so sorry Bad I just-”,
“-then, why don’t you just do it?”
Skeppy’s rambling immediately stopped. He stared at Bad, searched his expression for any type of hint that would tell him that he was joking. He found none. Just genuine sincerity. “...You mean that?” He asked, carefully. “I do.” Skeppy slowly moved closer again, Bad did too. Their hands interlocked, their faces close. Skeppy placed his free hand on Bad’s cheek. It felt soft. And Bad leaning into it and closing his eyes made everything even better.
“Can I kiss you?” Skeppy asked for consent, for confirmation this was actually gonna happen. “Please do.” Bad replied.
And finally, Skeppy tilted his head, closed his eyes and leaned in. Bad’s lips were slightly chapped, and warm, and felt amazing. They fell in place easily. They just fit. Like everything else about them, ever, it just worked. Because everything about them, in any way, was perfect for each other. A perfect match. If the universe had set them up for this, it wouldn’t surprise Skeppy one bit.
The kiss was neither too long, nor too short. It was simply warm and soft and filled with positive emotions. Once they pulled apart, they simply looked at each other, mutual, happy smiles on their faces. “I love you Bad, I hope you know that.” Bad’s smile widened and he pressed another kiss against Skeppy’s lips in an instant. “I love you too, Skeppy. So much. You’re my one and only special muffin.”
The rest of that day, and whenever they had a private moment in the next few days, was spent with stolen kisses, lots of hugs and declarations of appreciation and love.
And if they ended up spending the nights cuddling in the same bed, that was also something nobody had to know.

“What even is in this one? Did you bring your brick collection or something?” Skeppy asked, carefully carrying a cardboard box with the weight of his entire existence stored inside. “I do not have a brick collection Skeppy, what’re you talking about?!” Skeppy set the box down on the living room floor, next to the rest of them. “This one was heavy!” He complained. Bad walked over and opened it. “This one is important, Skeppy! It’s Rat’s food and toys!” Skeppy looked in the box to indeed see a lot of dog food, treats, and toys. “...You spoil your dog, Bad.” Skeppy noted. “ Our dog! And I’ll make sure Rocco gets the same treatment!” Bad corrected.
He couldn’t help but smile while watching a disbelieving Skeppy go through the Rat box. Our dog, she was his and Skeppy’s dog now. And so was Rocco. Bad looked over the stacked boxes in Skeppy’s living room. Their living room. It was his home too now, his actual home.
Fairly soon after their last meetup they collectively decided they had enough of the distance. Absolutely unrelated to the fact that cuddling and kissing was impossible over a Discord call. Of course. 100%. They also didn’t want to have to miss each other anymore. It’s been the same for both of them. After the first time they met face to face, neither wanted to leave the other ever again.
And so, after some planning, Bad had packed up all his stuff, grabbed Lucy, and moved to Florida with Skeppy. It was closer to a lot of his friends. But, of course, it was the closest to his favorite person. A home, together, like they’ve been thinking of for quite a long time. Even before the more recent developments in their relationship.
“Was this the last one?” Skeppy asked. Bad looked at the checklist on his phone and compared it to the cardboard tower in their living room. “Yup, we’ve got everything! Thanks for the help ‘Geppy.” Skeppy let out a relieved sigh and face planted on the couch, one of the very few empty spots around. Bad laughed and climbed over his boxes, sitting down next to the other and running a hand through his hair. Skeppy relaxed and a smile spread on his face.
“Can I have a thank you kiss for dragging all your boxes up here..?” He requested hopeful. Bad shook his head with fond amusement and leaned down to place a kiss on top of Skeppy’s head. “Sure Skep, here you go.” Skeppy looked up at him and promptly started pouting, turning on his back and staring at the other, arms crossed. Bad laughed. “What? You asked for a thank you kiss, you got your thank you kiss! What more could you want from me?”
Skeppy’s glare intensified. It was the funniest thing in the world to Bad. “C’mon Skeppy, you gotta tell meeee!” He teased. Skeppy stuck his tongue out to Bad. “Gimme an actual kiss on the lips! I transported like 50 boxes up here for you! Don’t you think I deserve a little more than just a stupid peck like that?” He complained with a whine. “You’re so needy sometimes, Skeppy.” Bad responded softly, but then leaned down and proceeded to give Skeppy what he asked for. He felt fully warm and giddy at the obvious smile that overtook Skeppy’s face as soon as he kissed him.
“There we go. See, not that difficult now is it?” Skeppy asked. Bad simply shook his head and pulled Skeppy into his arms. Skeppy gladly accepted the hug, starting to play with Bad’s fingers while cuddling close.
“So…” Skeppy then asked and lifted up his hand that had the ring on it. “How are we gonna do this now? There’s no more meetups we gotta wait for, we’ll just live together in the same house now.” He asked. Bad thought about it for a moment. Then he smiled. “For now, let’s just switch it around monthly. I’ll see what else I can figure out.” Skeppy grabbed Bad’s hand and transferred the ring onto it. Bad softened at the gesture and quickly returned to squishing Skeppy in his arms immediately after he put it on. And then they just laid there, resting from the exhausting morning that included the carrying around of a bunch of cardboard boxes. They still had to unpack and put everything into Bad’s new bedroom (Both of them were very aware that Bad would probably end up sleeping in Skeppy’s room anyways and only use his own for recordings and streams), but that could wait a few more minutes. It was barely noon after all.
“So, how are we gonna announce the move in and make it funny?” Bad asked. His troll mastermind of a lover put on his typical thinking face. Bad wondered if this was already what he looked like so many years back then, planning that staff application video that led to this point in their lives.
“We could scare them half to death with an ominous black-screen thumbnail and title, then it’s a stream of us playing Bedwars. But it’s gotta be streamed with both our doors open so you’ll always hear a faint echo of each other’s voice in our mics to confuse them. And then we get them all hyped up, tell them we’ve got a big and important announcement to make, act all serious as if it’s something very significant and probably horrible, keep not telling them till the very end, keeping them on edge, and then you walk into my room when I say a code word. All we’re gonna say after that is that we’ve officially moved in together and then end the stream without elaborating! How’s that?”
Skeppy grinned up at him. Bad loved that idea. He’d probably love any idea Skeppy came up with. “Let’s do that, sounds fun. Do we do it tomorrow?” A nod of agreement. “Tomorrow. After we’ve successfully put up your setup. ..Do we wanna post a teaser right now and see if anyone figures it out?” Skeppy, being the gremlin he was, suggested.
Minutes later, Happytwt was in shambles over an ominous very zoomed in picture of cardboard in Bad’s Snapchat story and matching Twitter posts stating ‘Clear your schedules. Very important stream with BadBoyhalo/Skeppy coming up tomorrow. Don’t miss it.’

V.
“Skeeeeeppy, wake up!” A gentle voice spoke. Skeppy turned around and buried his face in his pillow, groaning about not wanting to get up and whining for his beloved boyfriend to let him sleep some more. But Bad seemingly had other plans for the day.
“Skeeeeppy, if you don’t wake up now, I’ll eat all the blueberry pancakes by myself…” Now that woke Skeppy up. Blueberry pancakes? He loved Bad’s blueberry pancakes. They were something he absolutely could not miss. “Where are the blueberry pancakes?!” He exclaimed, getting hit with a sudden wave of dizziness at the sheer speed which he had woken up with.
Bad, laughing, was sitting on the mattress next to his lover, a tray with three plates on their bedside table. One of the plates had blueberry pancakes stacked up. Enough for both of them, for sure. Skeppy blinked the tiredness out of his eyes. Breakfast in bed? Had he forgotten about something? He wasn’t awake enough to function properly yet. Bad, however, seemed very cheerful. And so Skeppy was happy.
Bad pressed a kiss to Skeppy’s cheek. “Good morning sleepyhead, Happy Muffinversary!” It was then that it hit Skeppy. Yes, of course. It was the 18th of October today! His and Bad’s special anniversary. An anniversary that stood for everything. Their friendship, their relationship, the time they’ve spent repeatedly driving each other crazy in every shape, way and form. A special day just for them.
“Happy Muffinversary Bad.” He mumbled and gave his boyfriend a soft, tired side hug. Bad got comfy next to him. “I made blueberry pancakes. Since you did so much for our Muffinversary last year, this one is planned by me. And the first thing is breakfast in bed! Enjoy! I worked especially hard on those!”
They shared their blueberry pancakes. Somehow, they seemed even better today. Skeppy couldn’t tell whether that was due to Bad putting in extra work, or simply the occasion.
It had been over a year since the two of them moved in together. To nobody’s surprise, their community was very hyped and happy when they announced it. Of course they were, they’d been suggesting it and manifesting it for years before it happened. Skeppy could happily say that the past year or so were probably the best time of his life. Mainly thanks to Bad. And he was very excited for whatever their future together might bring.
As for their relationship, they’d never officially announced anything. Both of them liked to keep some parts of their life private from the masses. And it wouldn’t make much of a difference either way. At least the observative members of their community caught on. It was hard to see the way the two of them interacted and looked at each other without putting it on the possibly romantic spectrum. Skeppy didn’t really mind, and neither did Bad. For now, they were absolutely fine having the term ‘ambiguous relationship’ floating above their heads. It was fun, watching the theories, knowing fully well that one singular Tweet could alter the entire brain chemistry of thousands of people.
As soon as they finished eating, Bad dragged him out of bed. “Come on, muffin! We’ve got some plans for today! Get dressed, nothing too fancy, mostly comfy! I organized a whole date for us!”
Turns out, Bad had not only made breakfast, but also took Rocco and Lucy out on a long walk so they’d be fine being calm and alone in their apartment for some hours. Skeppy’s sister would drop by later to make sure the two dogs got their dinner while the couple was still out.
“You really thought of everything didn’t you?” Skeppy asked as they got in his seemingly freshly cleaned car. “Of course I did! I wanted today to be perfect for you, for us. It’s a special day after all.” Bad, who surprisingly volunteered to drive despite it being Skeppy’s car, stated. “Alright then BadBoy, take me wherever you want to.
They spent a big part of the afternoon at a somewhat secluded part of the beach, hanging out, only leaving once it was getting too warm for them and stopping in one of their favorite coffee shops. “...do we wanna give Happytwt a heart attack?” Bad suggested. Skeppy immediately approved and they got one of the waiters to take a picture of them. Just for fun reasons, they posed as obvious as a couple could be without flatout stating they’re a couple. Sat together on the same bench in the booth of a coffee store, Bad’s arm around Skeppy’s shoulder, Skeppy’s hand holding Bad’s, Skeppy’s head on Bad’s shoulder, Bad’s head leaned atop of Skeppy’s, their free hands forming a heart. A heart that looked a little wonky, but still got across the message.
A couple pictures were taken, some of them where they looked at the camera, some of them where they looked at each other. They thanked the waiter, gave him their order and went on Twitter, choosing one of the pictures each. “This is perfect! Ready to not hear the end of our community for the next couple of Tweets, videos, and just weeks in general?” Skeppy asked. “More than ready!” Bad replied. Both of them typed out the obligatory appreciation paragraph they liked to write for each other at times. “Hit Tweet and watch the world explode on 1.. 2.. 3.. GO!” Both of them did it at the same time, then they quickly muted all notifications and sat there for a moment, before breaking out laughing. Skeppy fell into Bad’s side, Bad hugged him, and both of them were simply just happy.
“Happy Muffinversary, Bad.”
“Happy Muffinversary Skeppy.”
They soon got their orders and when they finished, it was already time for the last part of the day. Bad had booked a table in some nice restaurant with a view of the ocean. The restaurant looked incredibly fancy for something supposedly casual. They had by far the best place in the whole area, somewhere in a slightly secluded corner where they could watch as the sun slowly sank deeper, undoubtedly starting to set soon. The weather was perfect, not too warm, not too cold. Little candles decorated the table.
Their food was amazing. And once they were done, they simply sat together, enjoying the white noise the quiet conversations of other guests created, their hands interlocked across the table, looking out onto the ocean waves. It was special for them. They didn’t need to talk, didn’t need to say a word. They were just there. And neither of them wanted to be anywhere else.
“Hey Skeppy?” Bad asked into the silence. Skeppy looked over at him. “I love you.” Bad continued and squeezed his hand. Skeppy reached his free hand across the table to poke Bad’s nose. “Love you too BadBoy.” Bad glared at him with his best faked offended expression, making Skeppy double over the table laughing. “Am sorry, am sorry, but yes, I do love you. Lots. You're my favorite person ever.” Bad’s fake offense melted immediately.
“That being said, there is actually something I wanted to ask you today. Well, have been wanting to ask you for a while now. And I have no idea how to go about it.” Bad was nervous, Skeppy always knew when Bad was nervous. “Just say it. Whatever it is, I’m listening.” He encouraged. Bad shifted on his chair for a moment, then he looked up at Skeppy. “I was wondering… Since, y’know, we’ve been existing like this for quite a while now, would you ever, hypothetically of course, consider getting married?
Skeppy blinked, and stared, Bad’s eyes were trying to look anywhere but at him, eventually locking onto their intertwined hands. “...So?” Bad asked after a while, and Skeppy registered that he still hadn’t given him an answer. He quickly shook his surprise off. “Wait, did you just propose to me?” He asked, more directed at himself than at Bad. Bad flushed bright red. “...I guess I did. Am sorry if it’s awkward or something, I should’ve thought this through more- I- I don’t even have a ring. I was so nervous and–”
“YES!”
Skeppy’s excitement seemingly grabbed the attention of a bunch of people, half of which were staring at them now. “Wait, did you just tell me yes?” Bad asked, confused. Skeppy adored his boyfriend - fiance - so much. “Yes, I did. Yes, I’d consider marrying you. In fact, I don’t even have to consider it! You should know that! If there’s one thing in the world I can be entirely sure about, then it’s you. Has always been like that.” Bad was in shock, then his shock transitioned to happy in an instant. “Y’know what, Skeppy, I actually do have a ring.” And Skeppy instantly knew what he was talking about.
“Well, this might not be what couples do usually, but I feel like for us it fits. So, hand over your hand!” Skeppy did as he was told and watched as, once again, BadBoyHalo placed their stupidly adorable promise ring on his finger. It was so dumb. But it was them. BadBoyHalo and Skeppy, Skeppy and BadBoyHalo. And he wouldn’t have it any other way.
“Man, I can’t believe my celebrity crush turned acquaintance turned colleague turned friend turned best friend turned lover is gonna be my husband. We’ve really got ourselves some history there Bad.” Bad laughed and pulled Skeppy closer over the table, the two exchanging a loving kiss. “Yea we do. But I don’t regret any of it.”, “...Not even the part about me repeatedly trolling you?”, “Be careful what you say so we’re not gonna divorce before the wedding even happens.”, “When has saying ‘We’re not gonna divorce’ ever worked out for us?”, “...Shuddup.”, “Never. You’re stuck with my little stupid comments for the rest of our lives, my love.”

+I.
Bad had never been this nervous in his entire life. His graduation ceremony and his first ever staff interview were nothing against the anxiety levels he was feeling right at this moment. 'Cause this was it. He was about to marry Skeppy. Amazing, adorable, sweet, kind, lovable Skeppy who'd been in his life for longer than he could clearly remember. Who went from an annoyance (who he still very much adored) to his everything (who he adored even more).
If somebody had told him six and a half years ago that he'd end up marrying the guy who applied for staff on his server just to troll him, he would've laughed and called them crazy. And now he was here, standing in front of their families and friends, just waiting for said guy to walk down the aisle and join him, so they'd finally officially become what had been their dynamic for almost seven years. He was happy, and excited, but also extremely nervous.
He didn't even properly register all that was happening, nor the people around. All he could see was his Skeppy, his Skeppy who looked absolutely beautiful in his suit, his Skeppy who gave him a sunshine smile. The same smile he put on whenever he wanted Bad to know that everything was gonna turn out alright. Skeppy knew him with no words. And every bit of anxiety left his body as soon as he locked eyes with him. Skeppy walked up to stand in front of him.
"Hi." He whispered.
"Hey." Bad whispered back.
He could barely listen to what was being said. Skeppy and him exchanged their vows. They placed rings on each other's fingers. It was only them in their little world. And before the officiant could even finish speaking, Skeppy had already pulled him into a kiss. Bad pulled him close, keeping their lips connected till both of them were running out of air and broke apart, their foreheads resting against one another, eyes closed, happy smiles on their faces. Their families were cheering for them in the background.
"Mine." Skeppy claimed.
"Yours." Bad confirmed.
Bad couldn't imagine a better place to be at right now.
The celebration went on till late into the night. It wasn't a big wedding by any means. It was just them and some close family and friends. The two newlyweds snuck off either way. They much preferred just being alone and together than in a crowd that constantly tried talking to them. They sat down under a tree, leaning back against it and into each other, hands intertwined.
"Look." Skeppy commented, lifting their connected hands up into the air. Their wedding rings reflected the moonlight. "We're matching now! That's the best thing about all of this." Bad chuckled. "So what you're saying is, you only married me so we'd get actual matching rings?" He teased. "Of course, why else would I do something like this?" Skeppy teased right back. "You're dumb." Bad commented. "..I love you." He added right after.
"I love you too." Skeppy replied instantly, moving to his favorite place: Bad's arms.
They sat for a while, just enjoying each other's company. "So.." Skeppy eventually started. "Are we gonna tell everyone who isn't our family or friends?" It took Bad a moment to understand, but then he realized. "What, you mean- announce it on social media?" Skeppy nodded. "That way we get to say it instead of possibly leaking it later down the line. Also, it'll make explaining the very obviously matching wedding rings much easier." Bad thought about it for a moment.
"..Alright, let's do it." Skeppy's eyes brightened. "Really?!" Bad nodded eagerly. "Sure. Let's do it right now, actually. And then we spend the rest of the evening watching everyone and not saying another word. It will be the funniest thing ever." Skeppy pulled out his phone. "I love that idea." Bad pulled his out as well. "Let's take a selfie. Us, kissing, with our ring hands covering the majority of our faces. Sound good?", "I'd love that."
A few minutes later a Twitter post was going viral. Trending on the first spot within the first minute. A picture posted by Minecraft YouTuber and streamer Skeppy of him kissing his assumed 'Best friend' captioned with the words "Matching Rings with the love of my life", followed by a quote retweet of fellow Minecraft YouTuber and streamer BadBoyHalo, captioned with the words "Matching rings with my husband :D"
Safe to say they've successfully singlehandedly broken the MCYT community.
