Summary
Cahara thought he understood darkness.
Before entering this dungeon, Cahara had seen his fair share of darkness. He had made his living off of darkness and shadows in Jettaiah, he had learned to thrive off the night, and not to be afraid of the blackness when he ran out of oil or candles to light the broken-down, abandoned ruins of the house he called home.
After entering the dungeon, Cahara had become acquainted with a new kind of darkness – the kind of darkness that crept into his lungs and wrapped around his bones, that constricted his heart and settled over his mind like a mist. The kind of darkness that curled around him like smoke and shadows and wrapped him in a soothing blanket of despair.
And now, Cahara realised that every darkness he had ever encountered before was nothing like this kind of darkness.
Cahara goes blind.
