What can I say? It’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever read, a story that leaves me aching a little, yes because part of me doesn’t want it to end (much like Jackson’s reflections at the end), but also because it makes me want to live it and live in it.
I looked up at the blue sky overhead after reading this. I spotted the smiling moon. And I thought, "Isn't it romantic?" Utterly moved, anew and afresh, by the expanse and its brilliance. A bit of Mark's fascination with the heavens, which rubbed off on Jackson, rubbed off on me.
A beautiful portrait of a first love.
