    An evil spirit puts a village at risk, now two rivals must team up to save the ones they love.

    Kou Yusuke and Seki Tetsurō used to be best friends in their childhood, until a sad disagreement set them apart. Already grown up, Yusuke turns into a great samurai and Tetsurō into an altruistic healer. When the village where they live began to sicken after being attacked by yōkais, Tetsurō pushed himself to climb the mountain of Akayama to seek for a cure, leaving Yusuke no option other than to follow after him. Upon reaching the top of the mountain, they met a kitsune and that led to the beginning of a reconciliation.
