Chapter Text
A Friday is a good day.
Scratch that, it's heaven on earth and devildom. The day where there are two glorious holidays to take a break from school, to sit back, relax and enjoy the days to come till Monday.
And for the Avatar of Greed, Friday is a good day for Gambling.
With RAD being done for this week, Mammon was more than ready to enjoy his time too! The Casino was always a nice place to catch some Grimm! Always lively during Fridays, too!
He should go tell the human all about this. Perhaps they could join them! They did say they were short of Grimm. The GREAT Mammon is unwilling to share his money though, even if it is his favourite human.
Haha.
Little did the demon know.
It was a nice Friday evening. Well, might not seem like evening due to the sun's absence, but an evening nonetheless.
And time for their stretches.
Most of the time, this would be done in the mornings, the best and most effective time, but student duties call.
If those assignments weren't handed in ASAP, they better be ready for the sadistic side of the Avatar of Pride. Thank the heavens goodness they got it done. In the nick of time too.
Right in the the middle of a split, "MC" heard the door burst open, with a voice rambling on without looking down at them.
"Hey "MC"! Wanna go to the Cassiinooo.."
Silence filled the room as Mammon stared down at his human with shock, processing what he was seeing, while the human stared back at them with a questioning gaze.
The silence lasted for four seconds.
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
A high pitched girlish scream echoed through the room and the halls of the house as Mammon instantly started panicking.
He grabbed the human by the hips and lifted them up, sweeping them off their pose.
As astounded as they were, they were also shocked and confused.
"Mammon-! Put me down you idiot! What are you doing!"
Lest to say, they attracted unwanted attention.
To say that Lucifer was mad was an understatement, especially since nothing seemed to be going right for him that day. Mammon earned a special place as a decoration on his chandelier in the hall.
He tried explaining, but to no avail. Lucifer took it as a sign that he finally lost it. Still didn't stop the demon from worrying though.
Someone had a lot of explaining to do. After he got down from here, that is.
The vigor of the last week soon caught up to him as he felt himself dozing off. And soon, the demon fell asleep, still thinking of his humans safely.
The human was in Satan's room, turning through his books while the demon himself sat in a little armchair, staring at them as they skimmed through his books of demon anatomy. Specifically about the demon's skeletal systems.
After Mammon supposedly screamed and got taken away by Lucifer, the human came to his door and requested for a few books about the body structures of Demons.
Now, after a few hours, there they layed surrounded by piles and piles of books, sitting, reading and muttering to themselves in silence, occasionally taking sips out of their bottle.
A call to him from them soon shattered the silence.
"Satan?"
The demon in particular, kept his book aside and looked at them.
"Yes, 'MC'?"
The human still stared into his books and asked him.
"How flexible are demons?"
Such a sudden question. When did this strike? Did it have something to do with Mammon screaming?
"Well, how flexible are you humans, 'MC'?"
The human finally closed the book and kept it back onto the pile. "Well.. Most children are able to touch their toes with not much problem soo.. Is that a good enough place to start?"
Satan was impressed. Most Devildom children had a hard time touching their toes. Heck, even the adult demons like themselves had a hard time.
"The most flexible in the family is either Asmo or Beel, Asmo due to.. you know the answer, and Beel due to his workout routines. He told me that he sometimes works on his flexibility. Last update I received from him was a few weeks ago, where he finally touched his toes, though you could probably hear him crying and wailing from pain after.."
"The human perked their head, worry clear in their eyes. "Beel's okay, right?"
A chuckle escaped the demon, who picked up his book again. "He is completely fine. He was working on that for about a month, so good for him."
The human looked shocked. "He spent one month trying to properly touch his toes?"
That, was the day the human found out the rigidity of demon bodies.
That was also the day, that Satan questioned his knowledge on the flexibility of humans. Many of his brothers did not seem him leave his room at all..
Until three days later...
