March, 10th 2021.
In Northern California.
(Over at Sidney's house she's in the living room thinking and pacing back and forth as she's pacing someone rushes up to her house and knocks on the door getting her to turn and walk towards the door as she gets there she opens it to find both Mark and Kirby there.)
Sidney: Oh thank god.
Kirby: What's the matter?
Sidney: I've got a problem only you guys can help me with.
Mark: What's wrong?
Sidney: It's Katie.
(Mark looks at her and rushes into the house along with Kirby as they walk in Sidney closes the door behind them and then leads them into the living room as they get there she turns and looks at them.)
Mark: Okay. What about Katie?
Sidney: She's on her way to Woodsboro to spend the summer with my dad.
(Mark looks at her and then to Kirby.)
Kirby: She does remember the hell we all went through there right?
Sidney: She does. But she wants to see him and she's old enough to do what she wants and I'm not going to tell her she can't go.
Kirby: You're worried about her?
Sidney: I am. Mainly after what happened with.
Mark: No Sid we get it. Kincaid's been worrying about you and hearing how quickly you went back into hiding. Has both Dewey and Gale worried.
Sidney: I know that.
Kirby: What you need?
Sidney: For one or the both of you to go Woodsboro and watch out for my daughter.
(They both look at her and then to eachother.)
Kirby: If we go whose gonna?
Sidney: I'll be fine. I just talked to her.
Mark: Okay.
Sidney: Mark i know i'm asking a lot.
(Mark looks at her and then to Kirby he walks over to her and pulls her away from Kirby real quick.)
Mark: It's never to much of an ask when it comes around to you and to Katie.
Sidney: I know. It's just you have this new girlfriend and i just feel like.
Mark: I'm not seeing anyone.
(Sidney looks at him and then looks off not sure of what to say.)
Mark: Who said i was seeing someone?
Sidney: Gale she heard you making plans with someone and.
Mark: Gale really?
Sidney: You were in.
Mark: She say what colo hair she had?
Sidney: Blonde.
Mark: Kind of tall and was with a guy?
Sidney: Yeah.
Mark: That was Samantha Spade and her husband Martin.
(Sidney looks at him and laughs.)
Sidney: Oh.
Mark: The plans you speak of is their vow renewal. They asked me to perform the ceremony.
Sidney: Oh my god. I'm going to kill Gale.
Mark: Don't. She cares Sid.
Sidney: I know she does. I'm just worried is all.
Mark: I get it. We'll go.
Kirby: Yeah. Sure.
Mark: Well you can stay here I'll go.
Kirby: Are you sure?
Mark: Yeah. I mean Woodsboro isn't that bad.
(They both look at him and laugh.)
Mark: So glad you guys caught the joke.
Sidney: It's just as much of a nightmare for you.
Mark: Yeah.
Kirby: If you wanna go back into that hell hole alone.
Mark: I don't mind really.
(Then Mark's phone goes off he grabs it oit to see who it is seeing the number he answers it.)
Mark: Kincaid!
Kincaid: Yeah. You with Sid?
Mark: Both me and Kirby are.
Kincaid: Yeah well i just got a from a Detective i Woodsboro.
(Mark looks off annoyed but talks to him.)
Mark: Who?
Kincaid: A Detective Morgan.
(Mark looks at Sidney.)
Mark: What about him?
Kincaid: There was another Ghostface attack.
Mark: What?
Kincaid: Yeah. That's what i said.
Mark: Who was it?
Kincaid: Someone who treated Sid.
(Mark looks at her again and then looks off.)
Mark: His name.
Kincaid: Dr. Rosenbaum.
(Mark puts his head down and then looks at Kirby.)
Kirby: What's wrong?
Mark: Ghostface!
(They both look at him and then look off annoyed.)
Mark: What he want?
Kincaid: According to the Detective he wanted information on Sid's where abouts.
(Mark looks at his ex and then to his friend.)
Mark: Fuck.
Kincaid: What?
Mark: Katie's going there to spend the summer with Sid's father.
Kincaid: Crap.
Mark: I'm on the first flight there.
Kincaid: I'll meet you there.
Mark: Are right. Thanks for the heads up.
Kincaid: No problem.
(Then they hang up and Mark looks at Sidney again.)
Sidney: Shit.
Mark: Stay with her and don't let her out of your sight.
Kirby: Will do.
(Mark rushes around them to go the airport suddenly not caring about her safety she runs off after Mark.)
Sidney: Mark!
Mark: Yeah.
Sidney: Come back to me.
(He looks at her and smiles as he kisses her getting her to smile in it then he pulls away from her and quickly gets into the car to take off and Sidney walks back into the house. As she walks back in she close and locks the door up. Once it's locked up she turns and looks at Kirby.)
Kirby: He's gonna come back with your daughter.
Sidney: I know he will. That bastard are ready took my husband i won't let him take Mark away from me too. Or my daughter.
Kirby: We know that. Sid you helped us out alot when it came around to Jill and Charlie.
Sidney: And because of that.
Kirby: I know. It was bad and that when you got back someone else decided to go after you.
Sidney: Yeah. And now this same asshole is looking for me again. I'm trying to move on with my life. Why won't people leave me the hell alone.
(Kirby looks at her and feels bad for her.)
Kirby: I'm sorry. Sid you should not be having to fearing for your fucken life again.
Sidney: Or my daughters.
Kirby: Or your daughters. She's very lucky to have you for a mom Sid. Don't ever think otherwise.
Sidney: I won't. And you've become very wise in the last ten years since i last saw you.
Kirby: I try to be.
Sidney: You seeing anyone?
Kirby: No. I'm very single. Too bad you're still in love with Mark.
(Sidney smiles at her.)
Sidney: Really?
Kirby: Yeah.
Sidney: Why's that?
Kirby: You mean Jill never said anything to you?
Sidney: No. She didn't. I mean she might turned out to be the killer but she still respected people's privacy.
(Kirby nods her head at her.)
Sidney: So what was it Jill didn't tell me?
Kirby: It's nothing. Really. I don't want ruin Mark's second chance with you.
(Sidney nods her head at her.)
Sidney: Okay. I'm not gonna force you to say anything you don't want too.
Kirby: Okay. God this is going to be so hard.
(She walks off Sidney stands there trying to keep from laughing.)
Kirby: Oh screw it.
Sidney: What?
Kirby: Okay um. I know what i just said and I'm going to be known as the biggest Hypocrite but.
Sidney: What?
Kirby: I've had the biggest crush on you for the longest time.
(Sidney looks at her and then looks off not sure of what to say to her. Kirby looks at her not sure if she just screwed things up Sidney looks at her and smiles at her.)
Sidney: Uh wow.
Kirby: I'm sorry. I shouldn't of said anything.
Sidney: It's okay. It's just okay.
(They start laughing then calm down.)
Kirby: I'm gonna.
Sidney: Kirby wait
(She turns and looks at her.)
Kirby: Yeah.
Sidney: Thanks for telling me.
Kirby: You're welcome. Even if you don't feel the sameway i do.
Sidney: I'm sorry.
Kirby: No it's fine.
Sidney: Is it?
Kirby: No. but I'll be okay. Really Sidney.
(Sidney nods her head at her.)
Sidney: Okay.
(She smiles at her.)
Later that night.
In Woodsboro, CA.
(Mark and Kincaid are driving through the town limits when they see a cop cars rushing down the street sirens going as their going they both stare at each other.)
Mark: Speed up.
Kincaid: Try and get ahold of Sidney.
(Mark grabs out his phone and quickly calls Sidney.)
Back over at Sidney's house.
(Both her and Kirby are sitting down on the couch talking and joking around as their talking Sidney's phone goes off she reaches for it and picks it up to see who it is seeing the number she mutes it and then puts the phone down as she goes back to her conversation with Kirby which quickly turns when Sidney does something that Kirby didn't think she'd ever do and she kisses her catching her off guard as their kissing Kirby pushes her back onto the couch as they land on it she smiles in it.)
Back over in Woodsboro.
(Mark looks at Kincaid and realizes something.)
Kincaid: What?
Mark: I called her old number.
(They start laughing then calm down as he tries again. But she's not answering.)
Mark: Shit.
Kincaid: She still not answering?
Mark: No. But I'm not going to worry about it. I'm not gonna worry her. I mean i know Katie's her daughter i really do.
Kincaid: I get it.
Mark: Okay.
Kincaid: You okay?
Mark: I'm just worried about Sid.
Kincaid: I'm sure she's fine Mark. She's got Kirby with her.
Mark: Yeah I know.
Kincaid: You jealous of Kirby?
Mark: No. I'm not. If Sidney wants to with Kirby by the end of all of this then that's up to her.
Kincaid: Okay good.
(Mark looks at him.)
Mark: What?
Kincaid: I'll tell you later.
Mark: Okay.
(They continue on their way as Mark's phone goes off he grabs it up to see who it is.)
Mark: Shit.
Kincaid: What?
Mark: I just got a text from Katie.
Kincaid: What happened?
Mark: Neal Prescott is dead.
(He looks at him and then looks off annoyed.)
Kincaid: Damn and you can't get Hold of Sid?
Mark: I can't.
Kincaid: Damn it.
(He has him speed up more and they continue on their way to Neal Prescott's home.)
Minutes later.
(They arrive at the house and Kincaid stops the car and puts it into park as Mark quickly gets out and closes the door once it's closed he runs up to the house as someone runs up to him and he looks her over.)
Mark: Are you okay? What your name?
Lily: I'm fine and my names Lily.
Mark: Okay. Is anyone in there?
Lily: My sister and her friend.
Mark: Okay go over there and stand by my friends car and don't move.
Lily: Okay.
(She runs off towards the car as Mark hears something inside and rushes towards the door as he gets there he sees someone down and kneels over to feel for a pulse when he finds one he gives off a sign of relief and runs around the house as he gets to the back of the house he opens the door and walks in as he walks inside he quietly closes the door and walks off towards where he's been hearing the fight as he gets to them he looks around the corner and sees Katie talking with someone and it hits him who it is and gets annoyed.)
Mark: Another fucken Loomis are you fucken kidding me Billy. Hey.
(He turns to see Mark there and goes after him as he gets to him he tackles him to the floor and starts beating on him as Kincaid rushes forward and sucker punches him sending him over as he goes down Mark looks up at him as Katie runs over to him.)
Katie: Uncle Mark.
Mark: Hey.
(He stands up and looks down at the man on the ground.)
Katie: My mom?
Mark: She's okay. So he's looking for her because of Billy?
Katie: Yeah. Who the hell was that?
Mark: He was your mom's because of Billy?
Katie: Yeah. I didn't tell him.
Mark: Okay good.
(Then he jumps up again he goes to attack Mark only to have him act quicker and gets him in the head sending him back down to the ground.)
Mark: Well that's the end of the Loomis pyscho family line.
(Katie looks at him and laughs.)
Mark: Let's get the hell out of here.
Katie: How we gonna tell mom about Grandpa?
Mark: I don't know. It's not gonna be easy.
Katie: Okay.
(They all walk towards the door and she unlocks it once it's unlocked they walk out of the house her friends kid sister runs over to her.)
Lily: Katie!
(She looks at her and quickly hugs her as Mark looks at Kincaid and Katie pulls her phone out to call her mother as she finds her number she calls it and waits for her to answer.)
Katie: Come on.
Sidney: Hello!
Katie: Hello mom.
Sidney: Katie!
Katie: Yeah.
(She sits up in the bed waking Kirby up.)
Sidney: You okay?
Katie: No. I'm not. All i gotta say is that I'm glad Mark and Detective Kincaid showed up when they did.
Sidney: Oh thank god.
Katie: It okay if i come to you?
Sidney: Yeah.
Katie: Okay.
Sidney: Be safe.
Katie: Okay. I love you.
Sidney: I love you too.
(Then she hangs up with her and looks at the woman next to her as she sits up.)
Kirby: You okay?
Sidney: Yeah. Mark and Kincaid got to Woodsboro and to Katie in time.
Kirby: Okay.
(Sidney falls back onto the bed and looks up at the ceiling.)
Kirby: Sid!
(She looks at her.)
Sidney: I'm really glad they got to her in time.
Kirby: It is great to know.
Sidney: I don't regret this.
(Kirby laughs at her as she kisses her as their kissing she deepens it sending them into another love making session.)
The following morning.
On the way to Sidney's house.
(In Mark's car. He looks into the backseat to see both Katie and her friends kid sister asleep.)
Kincaid: They okay?
Mark: Yeah their fine.
Kincaid: You okay?
Mark: I just don't know how we're gonna tell Sid.
Katie: I called her again last night and told her.
(They look back at her.)
Mark: How'd she take it?
Katie: She's heart broken.
Mark: Kirby still with her?
Katie: I heard her voice in the background.
Mark: Are right.
(They continue on their way to the house.)
An hour later.
(Mark pulls into Sidney's driveway and.)
Mark: Katie! Lily!
(They both wake up and look at him.)
Katie: Yeah.
Mark: We're almost at your mom's.
Lily: Ms. Prescott?
Mark: Yeah.
(Then he pulls up to the house and parks behind Sidney's car as he pulls up she walks out and Katie quickly gets out after Mark stops the car and puts it into park once she's out she closes the door and runs over to her seeing her Sidney quickly grabs her into a hug getting both Mark and Kincaid to look at them and Lily gets out of the car.)
Mark: You okay?
Lily: Yeah. He killed my sister.
Mark: I know that. I'm sorry.
Lily: So am i.
(Then Sidney and Katie pull away from eachother.)
Sidney: You okay?
Katie: Yeah mom I'm fine. Thanks to them.
(She looks over at Mark and Kincaid.)
Sidney: Thank you both.
Mark: You're welcome. Come on
(They walk up to the house as they walk in Sidney closes the door and they walk into the living room where Kirby is and smiles when she sees Mark and Kincaid walk into the room.)
Kirby: You guys okay?
Mark: Yeah. Sid do you remember a Daniel Loomis?
(Sidney looks at him and then to her daughter.)
Katie: He's the one who killed dad and grandpa along with my ex boyfriend and my bestfriend.
Sidney: Shit.
Mark: Apprently Billy had a sibling and none of us knew it.
Sidney: Damn it.
Katie: I'm sorry mom.
(Sidney looks at her and hugs her again getting Mark to look at Kirby who gets up and tells them how scared she was when she got that call from Katie lastnight and they nod their heads at her.)
Kirby: You know don't you?
Mark: Kind of hard to miss when your face lit up when she walks into the room.
(They laugh at her then she pulls away from her and Katie introduces her to Lily who smiles at her and they walk over to the couch and sit down as Mark sits in the chair and puts his head back.)
Sidney: You are right?
Mark: My face hurts.
(She laughs at him as Kirby comes back and places the ice onto his face.)
Mark: Thanks Kirb.
Kirby: You're welcome.
(She walks back over to Sidney and sits next to her on the arm. As their sitting there Mark puts his head back and Sidney looks at him and smiles realizing that Mark risked his life once again to go all the way to Woodsboro to protect her daughter makes her all the more grateful to him for what he did and is going to always be grateful to him.)
Mark: Take a picture Prescott it'll last longer.
(They start laughing at her face.)
Sidney: Smartass.
Mark: I know. But I'd rather be a smartass then a dumbass.
Sidney: Would you.
(They continue to laugh at her as their laughing she throws a pillow at her ex whose still laughing then calms down as he looks at her and gets upset but then quickly hides it before anyone notices as he sits there he thinks about how lucky Kirby is to have Sidney in her life and even though he's upset over the new relationship. He'll do anything he can to try and respect it although it won't be easy for him as long as she makes her happy is all anyone can really ask for.
