Summary
Leah is a sky islander noble who was captured and sold into slavery while her homeland burned to ashes on her wedding day. Now she’s free and she wants the celestial dragons to suffer and burn the same way her people did. Doflamingo is happy to oblige, but he has other plans in mind for his little angel. He promises her anything she desires–though what will it truly cost her in the end?

While there was no apology or acknowledgement of her feelings, his words felt like an honest confession. It didn’t matter to Leah if it was love or lust that drove him in this moment; it felt like it was the most honest and vulnerable he’d been with her since they met.
Their tender moment was ruined abruptly by a servant knocking on the chamber door. Doflamingo grinded his teeth in frustration and then shouted.
“Go away!” The knocking persisted.
“There’s not a damn thing you could tell me that can’t wait until the morning!”
The door opened a crack and a hand bearing a den den mushi receiver reached through it.
“I’m terribly sorry to disturb you at this hour, your majesty, but it's Sengoku on the line. He says it’s urgent…”
Doflamingo sighed and searched for his pants. He hurriedly slipped them on and marched towards the door while signaling for Leah to stay put. He angrily snatched the receiver out of the maid’s hand and slouched against the doorway.
“To what do I owe the pleasure at this ungodly hour, Sengoku?”
“Sorry to be calling you so late, but you’re a difficult man to reach, you know? You see, there’s a sensitive situation that needs your immediate attention,” Sengoku explained.
“How interesting! I was in the middle of a sensitive situation that needed my immediate attention, and then YOU called.”
“Oh my! I suppose I should congratulate you on your engagement, by the way,” he chuckled nervously.
“Get to the point!”
“Right, there’s a group of traffickers in your territory led by someone named Roulette. The operation has begun to draw attention and they must be dealt with as swiftly and discreetly as possible.”
“Traffickers, hmm? The marines usually don’t bother with traffickers, especially since their main clientele are nobles and celestial dragons. So what put them on your radar? A case of buyer’s remorse?”
He could sense Sengoku seething on the other end.
“That’s none of your damn business! You’ll do as you’re told if you want to keep your position as warlord, do you understand?”
How convenient, Doflamingo thought to himself. A golden opportunity to erase Leah’s past as a slave just presented itself on a silver platter.
“I understand. Don't worry, it’ll be like they never existed.”
