Chapter Text
Teruhashi was never the type for public displays of affection, or rather, she can’t afford to be; she has an image to maintain and more importantly, a lover to protect (ironically, from her own fans).
However, Teruhashi is but a teenage schoolgirl, and the average teenage schoolgirl with a boyfriend would much prefer sharing lunch and looping her arms around a loved one's neck, and maybe sneaking a peck on his cheek when no one’s looking rather than scavenging for empty hallways, listening to footsteps and taking the long way back. Teruhashi, unfortunately, is not your average teenage schoolgirl, she is the most perfect pretty girl in the world, and who could take their gaze away from her? With their graduation approaching, accompanied by the fact that Teruhashi's only PDA move is holding his hand while walking around a nearby town, she can’t help but throw herself onto his bed dramatically as Saiki reads her every thought.
“Something on your mind?” , Saiki asked, keeping his gaze fixed on the book in his hands for as long as he could pray.
“Do you think that you can hypnotize the world into thinking that I am not the most perfect pretty girl in the world for a few days, despite how hard that is?"
“Mind-controlling effects last forever, Teruhashi.”
And the world’s most perfect pretty girl could only let out a muffled groan into his pillow.
To be honest, a simple command such as “Teruhashi isn’t the most perfect pretty girl in the world” wouldn’t cut it. If Saiki had to make the world defy her beauty, he might have to change the entire conventional beauty standard and god knows how complicated things will get.
Good grief. Even though Saiki knows that not being able to have lunch alone with Teruhashi isn’t going to jeopardize their relationship, he can’t ignore how her glow dies a little when she can only so much as lightly brush his fingertips and when she can’t freely latch onto him whenever something even slightly good happens in the presence of their fellow classmates.
Worse, she doesn’t really think of anything at such times. The only thing Saiki can make out is the sound of her heart flailing, and that might be the last thing he wants to hear.
Oftentimes, he tries to remedy this by cutting her some slack when they’re alone, a prime example is demonstrated as Saiki senses Teruhashi silently rising from his bed to practically melt onto him. She lays her head on his shoulders, allowing strands of hair to fall neatly into his palm, which should probably feel ticklish to the average person.
Untickled, Saiki unconsciously twirled her hair around his fingers, noting how long it had grown since the start of their second year. Back when Teruhashi’s hair reached just past her shoulders and the worst thing that could occur to him was to be in close quarters with the academy’s goddess, Saiki would have just shrugged her off or set something on fire if the situation was dire.
He stole a glance at his old nightmare, who was probably daydreaming, and sighed. I guess graduation is nearing.
“I’ll think of something.” , he finally said.
The short remark made her let out a gasp as she quickly swung her arms around his waist before letting out an internal scream that would echo in Saiki’s head for the rest of the day. And as he let his skin be stained with the signature pink of Teruhashi’s favourite lipstick, Saiki wondered if he had let himself get too loose around this particular classmate as the pink turns into a feverish red.
“Don’t worry, I won’t stain your shirt.”, she gingerly said, and conveniently stained his lips.

Saiki, too, was never the type for public displays of affection, he has an image to uphold and, well, whatever is left of his pride, but he guessed he might as well throw that out the window when he had already signed himself up to be with the most troublesome girl in the world.
If Teruhashi did the impossible by making him her boyfriend without any superpowers, so can he. He is, after all, omnipotent.
By far, they have somewhat managed with his powers of teleportation and invisibility, but he guessed that couldn’t have satisfied god’s favourite child. Saiki leaned over to pick up the coffee jelly that Teruhashi bribed him with (for no particular reason, of course, she simply enjoys his eating face) and thought for a while.
Out of the 79 solutions to their problem, of which 57 are illegal and 21 are unethical, only one was deemed relatively adequate.
—
On a sunny Saturday in the middle of May, Teruhashi stood in front of her mirror in one of her finest gowns as her so-called prince should be waiting at the door with coupons in hand for a new cafe in the district that boasted top-quality sweets soon enough.
They have agreed on a rotating schedule for their weekend outings, with Teruhashi choosing the location one week and Saiki the next. Naturally, Teruhashi’s list consists of all the trending restaurants, cafes and arcades featured in teen magazines, while Saiki stays consistent with his stay-at-home dates. She thinks they strike a good balance.
With her hair done and tucked in place, Teruhashi thought she would spare her lover a moment of mental preparation before blinding him with her weekend casual look, so she glanced at the clock to her right to make sure it was indeed 9:31, the perfect time mark.
With pretend hurried steps to create the illusion that she is not at all looking forward to their date so much that she waited at the entrance for his arrival. Sure, Saiki might have seen through her intentions with his X-ray vision or something, but calculated presentation and execution have never failed her before. Teruhashi smoothed down her skirt for the last time and finally opened the front door to reveal an unexpected but oddly familiar figure.
A girl stood at the entrance, wearing PK Acdemy’s light teal uniform finished with a red bow at the collar, her hair was a soft pink, softer than his, and her eyes were violet, just a tad deeper for the lack of green lenses.
“Kuriko?!”
“Is this no good?”
