Work Text:
Lauriam looking to the harbor at Founders’ fountain - The sun is nearly gone. The lights are turning on. A silver shine that stretches to the sea.
Lauriam to Elrena - We've stumbled on a view. That's… tailor-made for two.
Lauriam looking at Elrena - What a shame those two are you and me.
Lauriam to Elrena - Some other girl and guy would love this swirling sky. But there's only you and I and we've got no shot.
Lauriam motioning to the view again - This could never be. You're not the type for me.
Elrena - *Scoffs*
Lauriam - And there's not a spark in sight. What a waste of a lovely night!
Elrena - You say there's nothing here? Well, let's make something clear. I think I'll be the one to make that call.
Lauriam - (but you'll call?)
Elrena - And though you look so cute in your polyester suit.
Lauriam - (it's wool.)
Elrena - You're right, I'd never fall for you at all.
Elrena motioning to the view - And maybe this appeals.
Lauriam - *whistles to the melody*
Elrena jokingly - to someone not in heels
Elrena smiles softly - Or to any girl who feels… There's some chance for romance.
Lauriam raises his brow suspiciously
Elrena waving him off - But, I'm frankly feeling nothing.
Lauriam teasingly to Elrena - Is that so?
Elrena ticked off - Or it could be less than nothing.
Lauriam - Good to know, so you agree?
Elrena - That's right.
Both - What a waste of a lovely night!
