“I see you’ve given this matter serious thought,” Jim said, still in a state of irritation and disbelief. “It seems a bit petty, for you. Haven’t you ever heard the saying ‘living well is the best revenge’?”
Spock raised an eyebrow. “Yes, I believe that is what I will be attempting to convey,” he said, in a voice that implied it should be obvious.
Spock and Jim, a couple since the events of "Amok Time" over two years previously, get dolled up for a wedding they did not expect to attend: that of Spock's former betrothed. The other guests get a little more than they bargained for.
