Summary
At 24 years old, Billie Joe has his priorities in order: he’s working on his bachelor’s degree and picking up as many shifts at his gas station job as he can, balancing it all with raising his five year old daughter he had when he was just nineteen. He takes his responsibilities seriously and nothing is more important to him than his little girl, but when his high school boyfriend comes back to town for the first time since they broke up, his whole world is turned upside down, forcing Billie to reckon with a secret he’s kept for almost six years.
