(Over at the Hold up Kate and Reagan are talking and joking around as Mark walks into the bar talking and joking around with a friend of his who come into Gotham from Port Charles as they walk in he says
something that gets him to laugh and then he grabs him and pretends to beat on him getting him to laugh as he let's him go and then pushes him away as Mark looks over at Kate and Reagan then walks over to
them as he gets to them he sits down and looks at them.)
Kate: Hey.
Mark: Hey.
Kate: Whose that?
(Mark looks back at him and laughs.)
Mark: That's Dex.
Reagan: Sonny's new enforcer?
Mark: That be him.
Kate: Wow.
Mark: Yeah. So what you two talking about?
Reagan: A family vacation.
Mark: Ahh.
Kate: Yeah we've been wanting to get KJ out of Gotham for awhile.
Mark: Well that's cool.
Kate: Yeah. We just don't know where to go.
Mark: Yeah well I can't help you two there.
(He gets up and walks off as they laugh at him.)
Reagan: He's still really messed up over his and Sidney's divorce isn't he?
Kate: Yeah.
Reagan: But seeing an old friend of his here is good.
Kate: Yeah. Wait Dex.
Reagan: What?
Kate: Doesn't he look like someone to you.
(Reagan looks at her and then looks back at him.)
Reagan: Yeah he kind of does.
Kate: And who would that be?
Reagan: I could guess. But we could be wrong.
Kate: True. Anyway. So where we gonna go and get KJ away from here for awhile?
Reagan: Honestly. I don't really know.
Kate: You're a lot of help.
Reagan: What?
(She laughs at her as Mark walks back over to them followed by Dex.)
Mark: Shut up I didn't say that.
Dex: Not according to Michael.
Mark: Yeah well Michael's a kiss ass.
Dex: So's my brother as far as Maggie goes.
(Mark looks at him and starts laughing.)
Mark: True.
Kate: Wait you're Mickey Haller's brother?
Dex: I am. You two honestly didn't know.
Reagan: No.
Mark: Dex how dare you not tell them.
Dex: What? It's not like I'm trying to hide that fact.
Mark: Of course not.
(He looks at him and laughs.)
Kate: Wow.
Dex: Yeah.
Mark: How is it you two didn't know this. But some how Mary and Ryan figured it out.
(Kate looks at him as Reagan's trying to keep from laughing.)
Kate: Well I'm sorry. Okay.
Reagan: Anyway. How are you seriously doing Mark.
Mark: I'm fine. Never better.
(Then he looks off and then looks at them again.)
Kate: Mark!
Mark: I'm fine. She made her choice and I'll deal with it.
(Dex looks at him and knows who their talking about.)
Dex: She was better with you.
(Mark looks at him and laughs.)
Mark: I know. But tell that to prick who lied and broke up my marriage.
(Then he sees them walk into the bar.)
Mark: Of speaking of my ex wife and her homewrecking boy toy.
(They both look at him as he walks over to them and shoves past Kincaid.)
Sidney: Mark!
Mark: You've made your bed Sid. Have a nice life. But I will make something very clear.
Sidney: And that is.
Mark: I don't want him anywhere near our kids. I see him within a hundred feet of them. And I'll kill him.
(He looks at him and then looks off.)
Mark: In my book him and Nina would make great friends.
(Then he looks at Mark again who turns to walk off but he says something that gets him to turn around and look at him.)
Mark: Yeah that maybe true.
Kincaid: Okay.
Mark: But I didn't have to lie to Sidney in order to get into her pants.
(Then he walks away from him as Kincaid looks at Sidney who looks off annoyed. Then he goes after Mark as he gets to him he turns him around and punches him sending him over as he goes over Dex looks over
at them and goes to stop them but Kate stops him.)
Kate: This is between them.
Dex: Okay.
(Back over by Mark he stands up and looks at him.)
Mark: I was really hoping you'd do that.
Kincaid: Oh yeah why's that?
Mark: Because now I can kill you.
(Mark charges him sending him over as he goes over Mark goes to beat on him but decides against it.)
Mark: You're not worth losing my freedom over.
(Then he gets up and backs off as Kate walks over to him along with Reagan.)
Reagan: Get your boy toy out of here.
Sidney: Reagan!
Reagan: Get him out of here. Or I'll let my brother finish the job Mark started.
(She turns and looks at Oliver who had just walked into the bar followed by Mia and Laurel.)
Oliver: Doors that way.
(They both look at him as Sidney walks out Kincaid says something that gets Mark to go after him again as he gets to him he sends him to the floor and actually starts beating on his face he's beating on him
Calamity and Beca walk into the bar and see Mark fighting someone and Kincaid gets the upper hand and shoves Mark off once he's off Mark gets up again and charges him sending him into the counter as he hits
it he looks at Mark and punches him again sending him over as he goes down he walks over to him and starts beating on him until Mark gets his barring's and punches him in the side getting him to fall over and
he starts on him as their fight continues Sidney stands there not sure of what to do until Curtis walks in and rushes over to them as he gets to him he grabs Mark off of him only to have him swing around and
punches him sending him over as he goes down Kincaid took that as his chance to get up and go after him but he swings around just in time to duck under his fist and throws him over as he goes down he looks
up at him.)
Mark: You should of just walked away Kincaid.
(He gets up to go after him again as he gets to him he sends then into one of the tables as it goes over he starts beating on Mark that is until Dex rushes in and tackles him to the ground and holds him down.)
Dex: I think you better walk away Kincaid.
(He gets him and throws him at Sidney who looks just as annoyed as everyone else.)
Kincaid: This isn't over.
Mark: Yes it is. I see you in this bar or anywhere near my kids. I'll kill you. It's bad enough you stole my wife from me. I'm not gonna let you do the samething with my kids.
(Then he shoves him back as he goes back he looks at him and then looks at Sidney who he can tell is annoyed but doesn't walk over to her.)
Mark: Walk the fuck away Kincaid.
Kincaid: And If I don't.
Mark: There's a jail cell with your name on it.
(He looks at him and quickly backs off then walks back over to Sidney.)
Mark: Get him out of here.
Sidney: Mark!
Mark: Just get out. There's nothing you can say that'll make this any better.
(Then he walks off while she stands there not sure of what to say.)
Sidney: Kincaid get out now.
(He looks at her and then turns and walks out of the bar with her right behind him.)
Minutes later.
(Up in Kate and Reagan's loft Mark's sitting there thinking as Reagan walks up and over to him.)
Reagan: You okay?
(Mark looks over at her and smiles at her.)
Mark: No Reagan I'm not okay. Son of a stole my wife away from me and then tried to make it seem like the divorce was my fault.
Reagan: I know. And for the time being you had actually taken the high road and walked away.
Mark: I did.
Reagan: But did you really have to lose it in Kate's bar.
Mark: No. And I'm sorry.
Reagan: It's okay. I know them showing up didn't make things any better for you.
Mark: They didn't. But some how I have a feeling.
Reagan: It's not that.
Mark: Okay.
(She smiles at him.)
Reagan: We're all gonna be here for you Mark.
Mark: I know that.
Reagan: Okay.
(She smiles at him as she sits there and talks to him as their talking she says something that gets him to laugh. Over the next couple of weeks both Kate and Reagan continue to try and figure out where their
gonna go on their family vacation and still can't think of a good place to go to as they continue to think of a place to go Mark and the other's start teasing them which only gets Kate to threaten to beat Mark up if
he didn't stop.)
Mark: What?
Kate: What?
Mark: How hard is it to figure out where to go on a family Vacation?
Calamity: Very hard.
Kate: Hey shut up.
Calamity: Yes dear.
(Kate looks at her as she starts laughing then calms down.)
Mark: Okay okay. I have an idea.
Reagan: Okay.
Mark: Why not go to Hawaii?
(They both look at him and then to each other.)
Kate: Hawaii!
Mark: Hawaii!
Kate: How come we didn't think of Hawaii?
Reagan: Because that's where Mark and Sidney went on their honeymoon.
Mark: Actually no went to a small island in California call Catalina.
Reagan: Oh.
Kate: Is it pretty there?
Mark: Catalina?
Kate: No Hawaii?
Mark: It's beautiful place to go to. It gets you out of the cold.
Reagan: True. So you wanna go to Hawaii?
Kate: Yes.
Reagan: Okay.
Mark: Okay then.
Reagan: Thank you.
Mark: No problem.
(Once they had figured out where they were going for their family vacation they quickly booked a flight hotel and then a car to help them get around the island while their there. After three weeks of waiting until
their trip. Both Kate and Reagan were looking forward to getting out to Hawaii and spend time together as family after they left the loft and headed off to the airport as they left Mark was there to send them off.)
Kate: Hey.
Mark: Hey.
Kate: Here to send us off?
Mark: I am. And I wanted to see this little cutie before you guys left so.
Kate: Okay.
(He leans in and sees KJ who looks at him and smiles at him.)
Mark: Come here you little cutie.
(He grabs her out of the car seat and holds her while Kate and Reagan get their things into their car once their finished Mark kisses KJ's head then pulls away from it as he puts her back into the car seat and
buckles her in once she's buckled in he stands up and looks at them.)
Kate: You gonna be okay?
Mark: Yeah I'll be fine. You guys go ahead and have some family time okay.
Reagan: Okay. We'll see you guys in about four weeks.
Mark: Okay. Don't go to crazy in Hawaii Kate.
Kate: Yeah yeah.
(They start laughing as Mark helps them get KJ into the car once she's in and her car seat is buckled in he kisses her head one last time and then pulls away from it as he gets out of the car and closes the door as
he looks at them.)
Reagan: You sure you don't wanna come along?
Mark: No. This is a family trip. You three go and have fun. I'll be okay. Reagan.
Reagan: Okay.
(They both get into the car and head off towards the airport.)
Three later.
(In Hawaii. Kate Reagan and KJ have all been in Hawaii for the last two weeks enjoying their family time together they've island hoped they've gone to see the big island to Kauai to Maui and now finally to Honolulu
while they've been there visiting things around the island they've both managed to bump into a lot of the islanders and talked them about the islands history and they've heard a lot of good stories about the island
they've gone to see shows to see the beach to seeing the USS Arizona Memorial which both Kate and Reagan enjoyed seeing the most all and told each other that they wanted to invited someone else out here to
kind of help them round out the trip. And knew just the person to join them and while doing that Kate would look over every now and then and see a group of guys standing around Reagan talking and flirting with
her seeing them always hitting on Reagan Kate starts getting jealous and would walk over to them telling them that she's taken and then would tell them that she doesn't share. Which is when one of them tried to
get into her face only to have someone walk up to them.)
Mark: I wouldn't do that if I were you.
(He turns and looks at him.)
Man: Oh yeah and why's that?
Mark: Because that woman there could kick your ass. And that be an ass kicking I'd love to see.
(He looked at him and then quickly walked off as Mark looks at them.)
Kate: Hi.
Mark: Hi. What part of enjoy your family vacation on your own didn't click with you?
Kate: We know that it's just. We wanted to have one of our friends here.
Mark: And the one you chose just happens to be the one whose trying to get over his divorce?
Kate: Yes.
Mark: Okay. I mean you could of called Luke or Mary or Ryan or hell even Sophie. But you called me.
Kate: Okay okay. It's just we saw something that you've always wanted to go and visit and it was awesome.
Mark: Oh yeah.
Kate: Yeah.
Mark: And what would that be?
Kate: The USS Arizona's memorial.
(He looks at her and laughs.)
Mark: Really?
Kate: Yeah. You realize she's still leaking oil?
Mark: I am. Legend has it the oil leak is because she's crying for those we lost on that day. And they believe she'll stop crying once the final survivor of her sinking passes.
Kate: Really?
Mark: Yeah. I don't know if that's true. But it's a good thought knowing she's crying for those lost crew members.
Reagan: You've read a lot on the Arizona haven't you?
Mark: I was in the military Reagan. Any solider in Basic Training got the history on Pearl Harbor and the surprise attack done by the Japanese.
Kate: Wow.
Mark: Due to that. They sent the US into World War Two.
Reagan: Yeah. We're gonna have to take you out to see it.
Mark: That would be great. So aside from that.
Kate: Oh my god you weren't kidding Hawaii is gorgeous.
Mark: It is. It's not cold you can go the beach and jump into the ocean.
Reagan: Yeah. We're actually headed that way now if you wanna go with?
Mark: I don't have anything to swim in.
Kate: You're full of it.
(He looks at her and laughs as he let's them lead the way as their headed for the beach their talking and joking around.)
Kate: Shut up.
Mark: I would but seeing Kate get so jealous is kind of hot.
Kate: Oh my god.
(They start laughing then calm down as their walk continues they bump into someone who quickly kneels over to pick up her papers and then stands back up.)
Mark: You are right?
Woman: Yeah I'm okay. Wait. Reagan!
(Reagan looks at her and then laughs off the shock.)
Reagan: Kate Whistler!
Whistler: Oh my god.
(She walks around the stroller and hugs her then pulls away from her.)
Reagan: How you been?
Whistler: Good. How you been?
Reagan: I'm good. Great actually. This is actually my wife Kate Kane.
Kate: Hi.
Whistler: Hi.
Reagan: This is one of mine and Kate's best friend's Mark Buchanan.
(He looks at her and waves at her as she shakes his hand.)
Mark: So this is?
Reagan: Kate Whistler my cousin.
(She laughs at her.)
Mark: Makes sense actually.
(Reagan elbows him getting him to laugh at her.)
Whistler: Anyway. Whose this little cutie?
Reagan: Mine and Kate's daughter.
Whistler: You have a daughter?
Reagan: I do.
Whistler: Wow. She's adorable my girlfriend would go insane if she saw her.
Reagan: You have a girlfriend?
Whistler: Yeah her names Lucy.
Reagan: I'm gonna have to meet her.
Whistler: And I'm sure she'd love to meet you.
(They start laughing as Mark looks behind her and sees someone standing there and walks over to them.)
Mark: Maggie!
(She looks over at him and laughs.)
Maggie: Mark!
Mark: Hey.
Maggie: Hey.
(She hugs him then pulls away from him.)
Mark: What you doing here?
Maggie: I uh.
(He looks over her shoulder at the person behind her.)
Mark: Golantz really?
(She looks at him and laughs.)
Maggie: It's just for work. Although he wants it to be more.
Mark: Oh well in that case.
(She laughs at him.)
Mark: How's Hayley?
Maggie: She's good. She keeps asking when you guys are gonna fly out to LA and see her.
Mark: Soon. I'll talk to Kate and Reagan.
Maggie: Okay. Hey I heard about you and Sidney.
Mark: Yeah. Prick finally managed to break us up.
Maggie: I'm sorry.
Mark: So am I. Anyway. How's Mickey?
(She smiles at him.)
Maggie: He's good. He's been spending a lot more time with Hayley.
Mark: Always good to hear. He still good looking.
(She smacks him getting him to laugh at her then he calms down.)
Maggie: Yes he's still good looking.
Mark: Okay good. He still clean?
Maggie: Yeah. He's going on two years clean.
Mark: Oh wow. That's awesome.
Maggie: And if you're next question is going to be are we back together. Now we're not.
Mark: I wasn't going to ask that.
Maggie: Oh.
Mark: I mean it must be great news to him.
(She looks back at him and then back at Mark.)
Maggie: It is. But then again. Things between me and Mickey are really hard right now.
Mark: I heard. I'm sorry.
Maggie: Thanks. I mean we're trying to work past it but I just.
Mark: Mag's i get it.
Maggie: God Mark he tried to tell me about the whole thing with Lankford but I wouldn't let him tell me. I kept interrupting him.
Mark: And when you found out about it.
Maggie: I took it out on him.
Mark: Well the fact that he at least tried to tell you doesn't hold up?
Maggie: Not with me and my ego.
(Mark laughs at her.)
Mark: Yeah if there is one thing I can say about you and Mickey is that you both have really big egos.
Maggie: Their not that big.
Mark: He calls you McFierce.
(Maggie looks off laughing then looks at him again.)
Maggie: True. But not because i have a big ego.
Mark: No. That title lands on him.
(Maggie looks back at him and laughs.)
Maggie: Yeah.
Mark: Well anyway. It was good to see you.
Maggie: You too.
Mark: Tell Mickey I said hi next time you see him.
Maggie: I will. Hey.
(He turns and looks at her.)
Mark: Yeah.
Maggie: You doing anything for Thanksgiving?
Mark: No why?
Maggie: Bring them out to LA. Mickey wants to do Thanksgiving at his house.
Mark: Okay. I'll talk to them.
Maggie: Okay. Thank you.
Mark: You're welcome. Stay safe okay.
Maggie: Okay.
(He nods his head at her as he turns and walks off back towards the other's. As he gets back to them he looks at them.)
Kate: Who was that?
Mark: Maggie McPherson!
(Reagan looks at him and knows the name.)
Reagan: Maggie as in?
Mark: Yeah.
Reagan: You are right?
Mark: Yeah I'm good. So how was it catching up with your cousin?
Reagan: Good. It was good.
Mark: Are right.
(They continue onto the beach where they spend the rest of the day there with KJ who Mark took out into the water play around in her floaty as she's floating around in the water he looks around and sees Maggie
again he smiles at her and KJ swims towards her as she gets to her she bumps into her and she looks down at her.)
Maggie: Hi.
(She smiles at her as Mark runs up to them.)
Mark: KJ!
(She looks at him and laughs as he picks her up and holds her.)
Maggie: She yours?
Mark: No she's my friends daughter. I just had her out in the ocean playing in the water so.
Maggie: Oh okay. How old is she?
Mark: She's almost a year.
Maggie: Wow she's a real cutie.
Mark: She is. Right.
(She nods her head at him getting them to laugh as Kate and Reagan walk up to them and Mark hands KJ to Kate whose laughing.)
Mark: Mag's these are KJ's parents. Kate and Reagan Kane.
(They both wave at her.)
Kate: Nice to meet you.
Maggie: You too.
Mark: KJ wanted to come and see the pretty lady.
(Maggie looks at him and laughs.)
Kate: Is that so?
(KJ nods her head at her getting them to laugh.)
Maggie: What's KJ short for?
Mark: Kate Jr.
(Maggie looks at him and then to Kate whose laughing.)
Mark: Yeah. Me and her family pick at her all the time about the baby's name.
Maggie: Like what? Oh god there's two of them?
Mark: Yes.
Reagan: Him and my sister in laws all did it.
Mark: Veracity started it.
Reagan: And you finished it.
Mark: No Kate finished it.
(They start laughing then calm down.)
Mark: Anyway. If you're not busy.
Maggie: What?
Mark: Would you like to go and get some coffee?
Maggie: Yeah.
Mark: Okay.
(They both walk off as Reagan and Kate start laughing.)
Reagan: You little match maker.
(She starts laughing as they walk to go back to their spot as they walk back over to it they sit down and continue to spend the rest of the day with KJ while Mark spends his time another woman he's been friends
with for the longest time. Through out the rest of the day while Mark's off with Maggie both Kate and Reagan stay by the water with KJ whose having the time of her life spending time on the beach with her parents
in one of the prettiest states in the country as they sit there they both talk about maybe sometime in the future coming back to Hawaii and spending more time there and see what other sights they can go and see.
But for the time being they enjoy spending time with their little girl whose busy playing in the sand.
