Summary
Victory means nothing if you're alone in your happiness. A handful of years after the defeat of Adriel, normal is not a word that resonates with most of the girls in the order. Normal is an abstract concept. Normal is a world of ease detached from their reality. For them, normal is exploring and knowing and shredding the Bible they were raised by. They don't fight an actual devil any longer, they fight their own demons. Demons that know every corner of their psyche, every trauma of their many lives, and how to wield this knowledge to puncture their life preservers and set aflame the oxygen tanks.
