A Leader, A Fighter, A Protector, An Enemy.

Summary:

There's Ladybug, the heroine and light of Paris. And Hawkmoth, the villain and darkness of Paris. But then there's Chat Noir. The one who ruined them both.
The heroes of Paris struggle as they battle two familiar enemies, and a friend turned to the dark side. They fight to take Hawkmoth and his posse down, while simultaneously keeping the civilians safe from the average criminal. As if they don't have enough on their plates, the heroes also fight to save their lost friend, and bring him back to the good guys.
In a world where kwamis don't exist and the hero's suits are penetrable, fighting the evil of the world becomes a lot more deadly.

Chapter 1: Bloody hell, where's the first aid kit?

Chapter Text

"Alya... I can't walk. I can't walk anymore-ow!" Marinette, bruised and bloody, was held up by her two closest friends, Alya and Nino, struggling to walk. A large rip in her costume-like suit revealed a deep gash about a foot long on her leg.

"It's okay girl, I got you, it's okay. It's going to be okay. Nino is going to pick you up, okay? Stay with me here, you probably have a concussion." Alya said, as she unwrapped herself from Marinette. She wobbled over, and Alya stumbled to catch her before she hit the ground.

Nino scooped down and picked her up with a grunt. "Don't worry Mare I got you. Nice and easy. Yep. You’re okay." The hero closed his eyes as the three panted, leaning against a brick building. They were in an alley way, exhausted and beat up.

All three of them were adorned with cuts and littered with bruises, head to toe. Their costumes were ripped and ragged, their masks barely holding in their identities to anyone who might stumble across them.

Marinette groaned, her vision going fuzzy. "Alya.... Ow! Nino don't hold me leg like that it hurts, damn it!"

"Sorry." He shifted his grip on her, as he was carrying her bridal style, and set off walking. "Come on Al, we've got a bit of a walk."

"Hold on." Alya reaches for the backpack hidden beneath Nino's shield and pulls out an extra shirt he kept stashed in there. She proceeded to rip a piece off the bottom of it, and stumbled in front of Nino, before wrapping the fabric around Marinette's leg.

Marinette hissed in pain, her vision going dark this time. "Alya..."

"I know Mari, I’m sorry. There, it's wrapped. That gash is huge. Nino hold her leg like you were before."

"No!" Marinette shouted, attempting to move but failing due to Nino's hold on her.

He adjusted his grip, ignoring Marinette's protests.

"Mari, sweetheart, he has to hold it. You're bleeding pretty badly." Alya grimaced, placing a comforting hand on Marinette’s head. As she pulled her hand away, she found it soaked in blood.

“Shit, Alya, is her head bleeding?” Nino stumbled forward a little before bracing himself against the brick walls again.

“Uh, I don’t know, it’s all over my hand, there’s blood… her hair is all bloody, oh god.” Alya pressed her palms to her forehead, smearing blood across it. Her breath became uneven as she rambled.

“Alya! You need to breathe and try to calm down. And we need to start moving, I can only carry her for so long.” Nino adjusted his weight as Marinette grunted in pain. "Sorry dudette. It's not ideal to have you like this. What's the plan Al?"

"Uh okay, okay breathing. We uh, we head to Mari's house. Our masks are mostly intact still. So, we shouldn't be recognized in our civilian forms...even though the rest of our suits took a turn for the worse..."

"The plan, Alya?" Nino asks as he starts to walk down the alley once more, Alya following close behind.

"Right, sorry, usually she comes up with the plans. We get to her house, get a first aid kit, fix our-"

"Alya!" Nino shouted, interrupting his girlfriend. The two slowed. "She's passed out!"

"Oh crap, what if she's really concussed? We can't let her fall asleep if she's concussed! And her heads bleeding! She’s definitely concussed." Alya waves her hands around, clearly distressed. "Nino, what do we do?"

"We need Fu." Nino replied, quickening his pace. "The faster we get her to him, the faster we get her some help."

"Right. Yeah. Faster." Alya replied, as she jogged to catch up to Nino. Who was surprisingly quick seeing as he was carrying the limp body of a passed-out Ladybug.
