After a while, Bobby glances over at his boyfriend. Nigel keeps looking in Adam’s direction, something dark behind his eyes. It makes Bobby’s stomach flip and he swallows hard. He glances back at Adam, who’s gone quiet. He’s stressed out again. It’s clear by the way he’s tapping his fingers against his knee and shrinking against the back of the armchair. Nigel’s probably freaking him out again with the staring.
It’s touching that Adam would even come back after the other times he’s visited.
