“OH MY GOD!” The sound of rushing wind cut Layla's cry straight from her throat. Obviously Marc heard it though as a bark of laughter came from his covered mouth. “Oh ha ha Marc. I hope you know this is utterly terrifying!”
“Oh I am more than aware sweetheart.” Marcs voice was calm although everything inside him was screaming to hold Layla as tight to his body as possible. Or maybe that was just Steven. “Are you ready for another drop?”
“Go for it, moon boy.” Layla looked into the glowing eyes of the Moonknight suit and watched as it transitioned into Mr. Knight.
Suddenly they started a free fall Steven holding her as they fell. Layla gripped the fabric of Stevens jacket as tightly as possible her knuckles going white with the strain.
“Ok love brace yourself.” Suddenly they lurched and stopped the free fall and instead rose steadily upwards. Craning her neck away from Marc’s chest Laylas eyes widened as she took in the sight below them.
Marcs cape billowed in the shape of a crescent moon as they floated above London. The streets forming grids between roads and off to the side a sparkling ocean. It was the nicest day Layla had ever seen in London. Of course her boys had decided that it was the perfect day to show her how they flew.
Sure she’d been curious about it since Cairo but that didn’t make it any less nerve racking. They were soaring hundreds of feet above the bustling city. Waves of cars and people moved from place to place as they fulfilled their daily tasks.
“This is amazing!”
“I told you that you would love it!” Marc chuckled. “But I think we should had back down before we end up late for dinner. Steven shall we?” Once again the Mr. Knight suit formed and they plummeted. Laylas screamed all the way down until Marcs suit returns and lands them safely on the ground. Layla sits down panting.
“That- was- the most- terrifying- thing- I- have ever done.”
“Maybe. But you loved it.” Layla chuckles at Marcs words as he sits down next to her suit retreating into wherever it comes from.
“You two are amazing. I couldn’t ask for better husbands.”
