Summary
For as long as he could remember, Khalid dreamed of a man who loved him wholly and completely.
The golden-haired man of his dreams kept him company throughout his lonely childhood. Even as Khalid set his name aside and became Claude, his dreams remained constant. Everything clicked when he entered the undeniably familiar steps of Garreg Mach for the first time. His dreams were more than fantasy.
Then he recognized the man he knew better than anyone. Better yet, his lion recognized him back. Everything fell into place. Between the two of them, they would ensure the destruction they so often dreamt about was avoided. They have an entire year to spend with each other before war starts. That was plenty of time to avert disaster (and spend time with each other).
