    Nobody thought their actions back in the winter of '85 and beyond would end up having these consequences.
    A story woven from past mistakes, indecisions and loss that eventually helped shape his world and upbringing.
    But despite all the hardships one thing was for certain, Jake Seresin was destined to fly and he knew the Navy was where he belonged.

    A slightly altered kind of retelling that includes Jake 'Hangman' Seresin being Tom 'Iceman' Kazansky’s lost son, a story about revelations, love, loss, friendship and most importantly family.
    The story says OC but that only counts for some of the past event chapters. Eventually sticks to Rooster/Hangman.
    Tags were updated as the story progressed in order to avoid spoilers, but no more. Canon characters have been added as the story progressed.
    Starts pre-movie and continues on into Top Gun: Maverick and will move on beyond.
