Son Chaeyoung finally speaks up about what she thinks regarding the rumors of co-actresses Myoui Mina and Im Nayeon.
There is a circulating story online that the actress Mina and supermodel-actress Nayeon are dating.
Speculations started to arise when a fan spotted the two inside a coffee shop around Japan a couple of months ago. Saying that they thought it was just some regular couple who acted intimately sweet with each other, showing skinship publicly as they ordered, until the fan recognized a certain mint green bag that they very well know of.
Nayeon was later recognized by her loud signature laugh. Both being popular and a little more recognizable than they intended for could've been a factor as well.
A close friendship that started recently is what the fans would think of first, obviously, meeting and buying drinks with snacks together on a Saturday day-off away from cameras with no bodyguards around should be nothing suspicious.
But they might have shown more than that in order for fans to start a wildfire. Original poster said that the two 'did not care whoever saw them' and 'seem to have reunited after awhile.'
The same night, fans of Chaeyoung and Mina had tried to confirm or disregard this because according to them: it's misinformation.
“Yeah, it does not mean it’s Mina since she’s a celebrity, people can buy whatever she endorses as well.”
“Stop spreading this.”
“None of you even know what they look like that day so why should you believe it?”
“Didn’t Mina meet her family for her break?”
“Why would Im Nayeon be with her…”
A percentage of the other fans were bound to believe it regardless. Claims even that they took off from a private jet that either of the two companies own to prevent the paparazzi looking for them.
Unfortunately to those who are interested, there were no other photos that showed their faces to confirm that story, instead it was just a candid four-second clip of two women backhugging and whispering into each other's ears.
The Korean born supermodel posted a picture with her fitness trainer friend Kim Yerim the same day who was currently in South Korea that time. Months later, it's still driving people crazy.
No other details were confirmed since then, but this did not stop the fans from making more theories.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed that there was an incident where Nayeon ‘accidentally’ liked an instagram post about Mina, she later on unliked the said post and archived a few of her posts at the same time.
Some surely love this incident and are choosing to hold onto it until the very last hope.
They could just not be blamed.
Mina and Chaeyoung have been partners onscreen for years, starting their breakthrough on ‘One Way or Another’ that introduced their phenomenal chemistry to the public which captured millions of hearts domestically first.
They continued their peak the following year with the successful drama series ‘Every Lover's Quarrel’.
This showed the two’s versatility and it continuously let them guest on various shows with numerous advertisements after, making them as one the most beloved onscreen couple in the acting industry as of the date.
Nayeon, on the other hand, has made a spotlight from her consistent modeling gigs for fashion shows and clothing brand deals, always appearing on magazine issues at least six times a year and has solidified one of the prettiest names in the field.
It eventually led her to television commercials promoting various products and campaigns.
And finally, debuting as an actress on the worldwide acclaimed South Korean thriller film ‘Kiss Her Goodbye and Kill Her Gently.’ further making the people of the internet fall heels over her.
One is safe to say they actually want to know how it would look if the three of them crossed their paths, that's maybe why we're all here and you are here.
Now, having a huge and loyal fan base, people seem to need Chaeyoung’s thoughts about certain issues roaming around. For reassurance or confirmation, whichever it is for anybody's own good.
“Rumors are a natural thing!” Chaeyoung laughs. “There's nothing to worry about.”
“I mean, we know that. We [Chaeyoung, Mina, Nayeon] work in the same industry now after all.” says the actress acknowledging that she and the supermodel know of each other except that they haven’t officially met.
“Mina is still her own person and I don’t want her or us to be reduced as each other’s half. It’s the show business, anyone can be linked with anyone else anytime. But I think it’s actually a good thing that we can make friends and we’re not afraid to do so." she explained.
She also disclosed that she and Mina are very good friends. No matter if the camera is turned on or off.
However, perhaps that’s all they could be right now.
"I almost did it. I previously asked for her mom and dad’s permission but also I guess the time hasn't been right."
"Things like that do happen. Although we’re still the same with each other, she’s still my love [laughs]. It’s still very comfortable and professional when it comes to work.” she said.
She then denied the rumors of MiChaeng’s ‘secret’ relationship and asked for the fans’ continuous support in the future with an ending remark of; “Don't believe everything you see online. Enjoy your days without worry.”
At this point, what the actresses have with each other that the rest of the world tries to get hold of remains a mystery today, it cannot be solved unless another one of them gives us more pieces of the puzzle.

“This article is ridiculous, have you seen this?” Mina talks after mentioning the headline and reading a bit of it on the phone as she faces the bright screen of her laptop, body freshly washed up and almost prepared for bed.
She immediately reads the article after one of her managers sent it and can't believe she had to sleep late because of that tonight.
[ That sounds...People are a little insane. I don't know how that happened, I’m sorry. ]
"You don't want anything to get twisted too, do you? Should we just leave it? What do you think?" She asks.
[ Honestly? ]
The 25-year-old actress thought it shouldn't be a question. In a demanding show business where reputation and image comes as one of their priorities, sometimes things get out of control when this matter appear on the table, they always have to come clear and clean as fast as possible. "What?"
[ I think I'll talk to the company first. ]
Mina chuckles. She understands the hesitation, doesn't know if they have the same exact reason, but in the same breath, she's just as affected, she may already know. "How about, you just come over?"
[ Haha right now? Aren't you supposed to be asleep? ]
"Supposedly. Hadn't it been my manager sending something bothersome this late, I would be sleeping soundly but you know, it's fine if you can't since it's almost la-"
[ I'll be there in 20 minutes. ]
Mina hears a laugh. "Okay."
[ Want some coffee? ]
