Have you ever thought about your life as a book in which you are the main character? It must be an interesting comparison… well our little Lixie has not experienced it… at least not the” I-am-the-main-character” part.
The reason is, well, the main character of his life story is a perfect human being. An angel with a honey voice that melts through your ears and makes you obsessed with it. This angel is none other than…
“Seungminie! OMG He’s here! LOOK.”
Jisung looked at Felix with a nonchalant face and gripped his water bottle tighter. With another scream of Felix he winced and cursed under his breath.
Felix, without expecting an answer, moved his light stick more frantically and got a glare from the girl next to him for hitting her head with the light stick for the nth time. The blonde boy smiled apologetically and moved the lightning object slower.
The intro song began and the whole stage was set on fire by “Apocalyp$”. The rock band that after only 3 years of their debut, has ranked first in all music charts with EVERY new song! Apocalyp$ is adored by a high population in not only Korea but other countries as well. Let’s just say they’re GEMS…
Well not all of them… not in Felix’s eyes at least.
Even though he’s a “pupmate” or a Seungmin stan by heart, he still supports Chan and Binnie too. How can he not?! They have stunning visuals and charisma AND are so talented. Almost 90 percent of their songs are produced, written and arranged by them. So it’s impossible not to like them…
The problem is… uhm… let’s put it this way.
Every story has its Protagonist and Antagonist. It’s a norm in every story. Now who’s this evil character in Felix’s story, huh?
Let me give you a hint: tall, flirty & red hair
Yup! It’s Hyunjin! The 4th member AND the most popular one that steals almost everyone’s hearts.
Almost!
You see, Felix is not so… fond of Hyun.
Actually he isn’t interested in him.
Let's say it better… he doesn’t like him.
To tell the truth…
He hates him… yeah it’s the best way to put it.
Want to know why?
It's a little complicated. Just know that he reminds Lix of a person he hates so much in the past and doesn't want to remember him ever again. For personal reasons that is.
“Look at him. Always smirking at the others. Finding a way to corrupt the poor souls even from up there. Tsk tsk” the blonde boy said with a deep frown.
“Come on Lixie. He’s doing his fans a favor. Look at their sparkly eyes and drooling mouths.” Jisung shouted among the screaming crowd.
The intro was over and the first song’s melody filled the whole stadium. Fans went wild over their favorite band’s 1st hit.
As Minnie’s line started, Lix screamed from the depth of his lungs and got almost everyone around him unable to hear anything for their whole life. Don’t blame this little fairy. He’s meeting his Dear Seungminie after 4 months.
While he was deafening everyone around him, for a moment the blonde boy thought Hyun’s eyes dropped on him but when he turn from his seat from the 2nd row to look at the auburn haired boy, saw him shouting the lyrics into the mic while playing the Gibson guitar fiercely like he was possessed by an evil being.
The Australian boy scoffed and gushed over his bias again.
“Let’s not ruin tonight by thinking about that jerk”.

“It was AMAZING. The BEST concert I’ve ever been to! Did you see Minnie’s sweats on the stage? He was HOT hot! Wish I could touch it at least”. The blonde boy sighed dramatically and received a disgusted face from his best friend.
While they were exiting the venue to walk to the bus stop near the stadium, a van stopped in front of the main door and the members of the rock band stepped out of the back door to go inside the van waiting for them.
The almost-twins stopped midway and looked at the members through the screaming fans trying to catch their idol’s attention. Lix tried to go forward and get closer to Minnie who was waving at fans tiredly but as he was trying not to get crushed among the crowd he made a sudden eye contact with THE Hwang Hyunjin and got rooted in his spot.
It was like he was frozen and could not move at all by that intense look and perfect face.
perfect face? What the fluff did you just think Lee Felix?
The taller boy gave him a wink and moved fast towards the van.
“NO WAY! He did WHAT?!” the blonde boy flushed and screamed internally.
He wasn’t moving from his place and the others were complaining to him and shouting curse words as he was on their way to greet their idols.
As he was thinking about what happened moments ago, a hand grabbed his shoulder and turned him around.
His best friend’s face came into view and he tried to get the image of that flirtatious wink out of his mind. “At least tell me where you’re going before you disappear! I nearly lost both my hands trying to push these crazy chipmunks”.
“Sorry Jisungie. I just wanted to say goodbye to Minnie but…”. the younger boy pouted while dropping his head.
Jisung waited for him to continue. When he knew the one day younger boy wasn’t planning on saying anything, he said teasingly “OK and? Could you say goodbye to your prince charming?”
Lix led both of them out of the way and after some moments of silence he said “No… He went by so fast…”. He was thinking whether to tell his friend about the weird occurrence or not. At the end he decided on the former.
“It’s just…” the freckled boy bit his lips. “It’s just… me and that cherry devil had eye contact and it… it made me feel weird”. It made me dizzy…
Jisung had a confused expression and didn’t know what to say. “You mean… you and Hyunjin had eye contact?” Lix nodded slightly. “And you didn’t feel disgusted or frustrated by that?” the younger boy nodded again. “Hmmm… So maybe you’re starting to like h-“
“NO WAY! I DO hate him so much! You know that more than anyone!” he huffed and messed up his long blonde hair. “I just didn’t expect HIM of all the members to notice me. Not him!”. After taking some breath to cool down he continued “Let’s just go. I wanna look at the photos Minnie’s fansites have taken and sleep”.
His friend just shrugged and both walked quietly to the bus stop.
Talking about “The cherry devil” was always banned but that night specially, it was off limits.

Lix didn’t know he had clicked so fast in his life. Don’t blame our little fairy. He’s just so excited to meet his favorite idol and crush of all the time again after their concert. It’s been almost 2 weeks and he has forgotten about the “eye contact with hyunjin” issue. Well, that’s what he says to Jisung every time the squirrel-like boy asks him about the constant zoning out moments he has been having the past 2 weeks.
Unfortunately, he can’t help it but to think about it over and over again whenever he hears the auburn hair boy’s voice or sees his face on billboards.
After signing up for the fansign and getting a ticket, he sighed contently and thought about his outfit for the event. He just wants to talk to Minnie as much as the time allows AND impress him. He isn’t the type to brag about anything but he is proud to say it’s his 6th time attending their fansign and hopes for the members ( except that Cherry Devil ) to remember him after the last fansign they had.
He went to his room to look out for a suitable and simple outfit for the meeting in 5 days. He just hoped Jisung was with him to choose the outfit together but the one day older boy had a date with his FriEnD aka Lee Minho aka his crush for 2 years he still hasn’t confessed to.
Felix picked a black high waist jean and a simple yellow hoodie with a tiny sunflower on it. He just has to wait for the awaiting fansign to have a moment with his precious Minnie.

Felix swears on his life he had set his alarm for the fansign but there’s always an unfortunate incident when you’re preparing for something you’ve been waiting for. Today is one of those days…
The alarm decided to NOT ring on time and here he is.
The small blonde boy hurriedly fixed his hoodie and opened the door of the place holding the fansign. He didn’t even have the time to do his makeup. He was an hour late and on his way he saw some fans coming out of the venue. He cursed under his breath and ran faster.
While he was following the signs for the fansign meeting place he ran into 2 guards that were in front of the door with “Apocalyp$” written on it boldly. When he tried to walk into the room, one of the guards stopped him “Hey boy, you can’t go in. the event has ended.”
The freckled boy sighed sadly and said “Can’t I just talk to one of the members for a minute? My alarm didn’t ring so that’s why I’m late. Please, just this time!” He intertwined his hands in front of his sulky face and looked at the buff men with begging eyes.
The other buff guard was going to deny him, when the door was opened by none other than Hyunjin. As the taller boy looked up, his gaze fell upon the freckled boy he saw at the concert and many times before that at fansigns or fan meetings.
Hyunjin raised his eyebrows and said "You?! Felix, Right? What are you doing here, pretty?"
Felix was dumbfounded. First of all, how could Hyun remember his name when he didn't even tell his name to him in fansigns? And second, was he trying to flirt with him? HIM? The taller's almost anti-fan?!
"Uhm… I just… just wanted to meet one of the members and go. I'm late I know… but I have to…" he pouted at the end and tried to ignore the other boy's cooing sound.
Hyun told the guards he'll take care of it and mindlessly grabbed Lix's hand while opening the door.
After they reached the stage where there were still the signing table and chairs for the members and fans, Hyun went behind the table and took a seat while gesturing for the smaller boy to sit.
"Are you going to give me that poster to sign or not? We don't have much time, the other members are waiting for me so we can leave." The red haired boy said.
Lix gulped and sat reluctantly while giving the older boy his poster of Seungmin. He didn’t want Hyunjin to sign his precious Seungmin poster. It was ok if Changbin or Bangchan were doing this for him but Hyunjin…
As Hyunjin was signing the poster and writing something on it, He asked "Don't sulk. I know you don't like me." And gave him the poster which had Seungmin's sign on it instead of the red haired boy’s.
Felix gasped and looked at the other shockingly "It's… not your sign though?"
Hyunjin smiled "Yeah but I know Minnie's so… here you go. I know it’s not what you were hoping for but Just grab it and try to not oversleep for the next fansign." And stood up while smiling fondly at the gaping boy.
Then he stopped and turned to the younger "Just… Is it okay if I ask you something?"
The younger boy nodded slowly.
"Why don't you like me? It's the first time someone shows his strong dislike towards me. You don't seem to hate other members, especially Seungmin. He's your bias I can tell obviously but still… I don't get it. Am I not appealing to you or something?"
To say Felix was speechless is an understatement. He never knew Hyunjin noticed his attitude towards him. He was no one so why would the taller boy even bother?
While he played with his homaika rings he bought from an online shop, he mumbled "Why is it important to you? Just ignore me. You have lots of fans that think of you as an appealing person."
Hyunjin scoffed and shook his head "That's the problem. I can't ignore my fans."
"No offense, But I'm not your fan though?"
Red haired boy came closer to the younger and smirked "I can change that. Just give it a chance." Give me a chance…
The blonde boy who was shocked from their distance opened his mouth many times but couldn't make a word. He just blinked and tried to control his breaths.
"I… I don't… I…"
Suddenly the door was opened by the leader of the rock band, Chan. "Hyun the van is here bro. Come on".
Hyunjin had an amused look on his face and was still looking at the cute shorter boy he was fond of for a while. "Ok, I'm coming." And left the freckled boy but only after giving him one of his famous winks.
Felix stayed on the stage and tried to convince himself it was all his hallucination. He can't be serious right? Why should he notice Felix and want to get HIS attention, of all their fans?
His mind was blank. He should take a deep breath or he'll faint right on the stage from shortage of Oxygen.

"Hyunjin-ssi, what do you wanna say to your fans after winning the grand prize for SKZ awards?" The MC asked the red haired boy.
Hyunjin smiled politely and looked at the camera "I wanna thank all of them for their never ending support and hopefully we'll show our gratefulness by winning more awards for them… and of course winning more hearts over!" And winked playfully at the camera and showed a finger heart with his fingers which had a new set of homaika rings on them.
"Oh Lixie! Look at his rings! They're like yours, Aren't they?" Jisung asked the surprised boy beside him who was watching his favorite band's post awards’ speech.
The golden haired boy blushed and nodded slowly. Still loading.
"Why are you blushing? Don't tell me you're starting to like him?!" His best friend gasped after hearing nothing from the tomato looking boy beside him.
"I just… don't hate him that much anymore but… his place in my heart is nowhere near my precious Seungminie."
But his friend was watching him intently and noticed his freckled friend biting his lips while playing with the homaika rings. He could see through him and hear his heart beat which got so much faster after seeing the same rings on Hyun's finger.
He knew in no little time the once 'cherry devil' not only will be on 1st place of his bias list but will take a huge place in his mind and heart. He just can't wait for more in the future.

Remember what I told you about Antagonist and Protagonist roles in stories?
Yeah, I think now the main role and protagonist of Lixie’s life story is changing little by little.
He just doesn’t want to admit it but a look at his blush is all we should know to understand the main reason for the change in his heartbeats’ rhythm.
