Work Text:

“I just put up a bunch of glow in the dark stars and planets in my room! I wanted to show you them!” Ochako exclaims, her eyes shining up at Izuku. He’s at his doorway, already in his sleep attire—his usual shorts and ‘bed-sheets’ t-shirt—hand on the wooden door. He was preparing to go to sleep when she came knocking on his door.

His heart swells. He loves her smile so much. Ochako looks so excited to show him her room. Her smile is contagious, quickly bringing one to his face. “Yeah, sure! Lemme get my phone.”

Ochako claps her hands joyfully as he turns. “They’re so cool! You’re gonna love it! Tsuyu helped me put ‘em up. They’re all sorts of colors, too. Green, pink, purple, blue. The orange ones are my favorite, personally, ‘cause they’re all Saturn.”

He walks back over and she steps out the way so he can lock his door. “That sounds amazing, Uraraka. I’m getting excited, too.”

“Well, you oughta!”

As soon as he puts his keys in his pocket, Ochako grabs him by the arm and drags him to the elevator. His cheeks warm at the contact; that hasn’t happened in a bit. Izuku had gotten used to her closeness and touch. But he noticed that she’s the only one that can get so close to him without getting him nervous or flustered nowadays. She’s just… or, well, he supposes he’s comfortable with her. Just her.

She presses the button about a hundred times, making Izuku chuckle but he doesn’t comment on it. Her left hand is still holding onto his wrist.

“Can this thing go any slower?” Ochako mutters quietly. He hums.

“Considering how Kacchan and the others broke it last year, it’s trying its best.”

She huffs. Her hand slides down to his hand, and she entangles their fingers, but she keeps her gaze ahead. Izuku tries to keep calm, dismissing it as just a familiar gesture. It’s hardly the first time she’s held his hand—for a fleeting moment, he remembers when she did back in their first (second?) year when she stopped him from leaving U.A.

Finally, the elevator dings and they step in together. Ochako presses her floor’s button and stands closer to Izuku than earlier. On instinct, he looks down at her. Ochako senses him looking at her, so she looks up at him. She smiles again. But that’s his smile. His smile? Yeah, the smile he noticed she only shows him. It’s only for him.

He sends her a smile of his own. He’s pretty sure he has a smile reserved for her, too. Her smile, he calls it. Only for her.

“Deku, have you been okay recently?” she asks suddenly.

Confused, he tilts his head to the side. “Yeah. Why?”

She shrugs, “‘Cause it’s a year since everything happened soon. I just wanted to make sure you’re okay.”

“Oh. Well, I’m okay. I guess it hasn’t really processed yet, but I’ve been feeling okay. Better than okay, actually.” The elevator dings and the doors open. “Guess it’s ‘cause when you’re around, I always feel at ease. And you’re always around.”

Ochako hums as they walk out the elevator. “I’m glad I make you feel like that,” she breathes out gently, leaning into him more, “I feel the same in that regard.”

Izuku looks at his slippers as they walk and nods once to himself. Good.

The stop in front of her door and Ochako (unfortunately) lets go of his hand. Her excited smile returns as she opens the door, having left it unlocked. “Get excited, Deku!”

“I am!” Anything that makes her happy, makes him happy. Glow in the dark stars are included in that too, apparently.

She flings the door open and waits for Izuku to walk in. Once he does, she kicks the door closed and skips over to the lamp she left on.

“Go and sit on my bed,” she tells him. He does as told, sitting on the side. He folds his hands on his lap. Ochako flicks off the light. The curtains were already closed so there’s little to no light interrupting the stickers that are literally everywhere.

Izuku’s lips part as he looks around the room. On the walls, on the ceiling, even on her curtains are glow in the dark stars.

He feels the bed dip to his right. “Woah…”

“Isn’t it so cool?”

”Uh-huh,” he replies in awe. Then he points up at some stars in the corner. “That’s the Capricorn constellation.”

“Yep! It’s—“

“Your star sign.”

“Oh— how’d you know?”

Izuku thinks for a second then answers, “I know you’re really into astronomy so I did some research on it.”

Ochako’s quiet for a second. Izuku looks over at her. She’s already looking at him, and even in the darkness, he can see her slightly wide eyes and parted lips.

He suddenly feels slightly embarrassed. “Hehe… yeah, back in first year… you told me you loved starry skies and anything space related… so I wanted to understand it, just ‘cause you liked it. And you do talk about it a lot. I…”

Then she laughs, “That’s so Deku! You’re so sweet!”

“Sweet?”

“Yeah. You wanted to learn about the things that make me happy. That’s sweet. And really cute.”

Cute?! He chuckles nervously, “Well, I suppose it got us even considering how much I talk about All Might.”

“I swear, Deku, I didn’t know how much I learned about him from you talking until, like, last week that someone got some facts wrong and I found myself correcting them, evidence and all.”

It’s his turn to laugh. “I’ve crated a mini-All Might expert.”

“I could personally write his autobiography with the amount of information you stuck in my brain,” she jokes then lays back on her bed.

Izuku looks back up at her stars, his eyes returning to her constellation. He’d done the most research on it since he discovered it’s her star sign. It’s very her.

“Hey, Deku,” she calls softly. He turns but finds her pointing across the room, so he follows. “That’s yours. Cancer.”

The stars are all pink, shaping out his constellation.

“Our constellations are both very faint to us on earth. Yours more than mine, but… you know, I feel like that fits us to extent,” she says and tugs on the bottom of his shirt. He doesn’t take his eyes off the constellation but lays down next to her. “‘Cause we’re not exactly stand-out-ish but we’re both amazing in our own ways, right? Just ‘cause we aren’t visible in certain conditions doesn’t mean we aren’t there. And when we are…”

“Wow.”

“Exactly. Wow.”

Izuku folds his hands over his stomach, his eyes searching for more constellations. Her recognizes a few more, but he finds himself looking at her again.

The glowing stars reflect on her eyes. But he doesn’t particularly see them. He sees the shine in her eyes that he came to recognize easily when she’s happy, excited, and the ones he misses so much when she’s sad, down. The little shine that looks like stars of her own. The ones he wishes to protect forever.

Ochako’s eyes are a universe themselves. A universe he wants to explore, study. He could almost imagine himself an astronaut floating around, learning every single constellation in her irises, orbiting her pupil that dilates when she looks at him. Izuku wants to learn absolutely everything there is to know about her. He wants to understand what makes her eyes glow so brightly, what makes them dim.

He sighs through his nose. Izuku supposes he already orbits her. She’s like the sun and he’s a little planet that revolves around her, lives off her energy. She gives him life, the way the sun does the earth. It’s because of her that he’s here right now, living his dream.

His dream? Attending U.A. or being here in her bedroom, beside her, looking at artificial stars? The latter, he thinks. Nothing beats this.

U.A. was a dream of his since he can remember. Ochako’s existence trampled on that while making it so much better at the same time. Izuku didn’t think the day would could where he wanted something—or someone—more than U.A., more than becoming a hero. So long as he’s by her side, loving her, he’ll be okay. Even if they’re just friends for the rest of eternity, he’ll be happy to be in her life. (Maybe not as happy as he would be if he was hers, but happy nonetheless.)

Izuku realized he’d been in love with her for a while after having a conversation with Katsuki. Yeah, with him. Katsuki had suddenly asked Izuku if he liked Ochako shortly after the second war had ended. The class was helping with recovery, and were taking a break. Izuku was watching Ochako help Mina get a bottle cap open when Katsuki asked.

“You like Uraraka, don’t you?”

“Well, yeah. She’s my best friend.”

“Not like that, Deku. I mean, you like her romantically.”  Izuku blushed furiously at the question but couldn’t bring himself to deny it. “I see the way you look her. How you’ve always looked at her. She’s good for you.”

Izuku was silent for a few moments. Then, “Too good. I don’t… deserve her.”

“Don’t be stupid, Deku. You guys… were, like, meant for each other or whatever. Stop being a pussy and ask her out.”

“Thanks, Kacchan,” he grumbles. “I don’t think now’s the time for that, though. I don’t think I’m worthy of dating her… yet, at least.”

“Knowing you, you’ll never think you’re worth it,” which, true. “But she clearly likes you for who you are. She wouldn’t have stuck around for so long if she didn’t. She’s a smart one.”

Izuku hummed. “I wanna love myself before I try to start anything with anyone. Uraraka deserves nothing but the best. I can only be that if I… I’m my best version of myself.”

Katsuki was quiet for a second before he nodded. “Yeah. That makes more sense.”

Ochako looks at him. Izuku’s heart stutters, realizing he’d been staring for a long time. But he doesn’t try to look away when she catches him.

“You okay?”

“Mhm.”

“Are you tired? Do you wanna go back to your room?”

“No, I’m okay. I wanna stay here.”

“Oh… good. Do you like the stars?”

He nods, “Yeah, they’re really cool. They’re beautiful.”

She gets an odd feeling in her stomach that he isn’t talking about the stars, but she chooses to ignore it to not get her hopes up.

Then, he shifts to lay on his side, facing her. Ochako copies his movements, facing him. They’re quiet for a moment, just gazing at each other. They stay a comfortable distance from each other. Not too close, not too far. Izuku wouldn’t have to use any effort to touch her if he tried to.

“I’ve been meaning to ask,” he starts, earning her full attention, “What do you wanna do after graduation? Aside from hero work, I mean. Like, what does Uraraka wanna do?”

She acknowledges his question with a thoughtful hmm. She thinks for a few seconds, then tucks her fringes behind her ear, “I’m not entirely sure yet. I have a few things in mind. Maybe move into my own little apartment by Ryukyu’s agency. Maybe stay with my parents for a little longer. I hope… I hope that maybe I can be myself a little more, I guess. Figure out what I want for my future. Like, I guess family-wise? I don’t know.”

“You wanna prioritize your family?”

“Yeah. My parents are my ultimate goal. I wanna make sure they’re good before anything else.”

“Oh. So your own life is gonna be put on pause until they’re taken care of?”

She makes a face that says she isn’t sure. “There’s something I wanna do first. Depending on that, I’ll decide what I’m gonna do in the future. You know, Deku, my whole life I put other people first. I never thought about myself or my feelings. These past years at U.A. have taught me that it’s okay to think about myself and put myself first sometimes. To feel what I feel. I don’t want to go back to the Ochako I was before. I like feeling for myself. I like knowing who I am. So,” she smiles gently, “I don’t want to stop my own life to please others.”

That makes him smile. He felt the same way. Doing everything in his power to prove himself to society, ignoring what that did to himself. Ochako taught him that it’s okay to think about himself. “That’s good. I’m happy you want to do what makes you happy.”

“Yeah. Me too. I’m honestly happier than ever with myself. But what about you? What do you wanna do?”

“Hmm… I’m gonna move back in with my mom for a while. I don’t think too much is gonna change, honestly. I know work is gonna eat away all my time but… I’m going to try to not drown myself in it ‘cause I’m afraid you’ll find out and show up on my doorstep to kick my ass.”

Ochako laughs, nudging his shoulder lightly. He laughs too, enjoying the sight in front of him. Her eyes crinkling with her laugh, her smile growing. She almost glows in the moment. Her laugh is so pleasing to hear, too. He could listen to it all day.

He wants to listen to it all day.

After she calms down, Izuku decides to… well, he doesn’t know exactly what he decided. He just starts talking before he can fully mind it. “I have a new dream, too. Other than being a top hero.”

She gasps, leaning the slightest but closer, curiosity radiating off her. “Really?!”

“You’re gonna be the first to hear it,” the green-haired boy says.

“I feel special.”

“You are special,” Izuku immediately remarks as if it should’ve been the most obvious thing ever. He heard her teeth clink as she shuts her mouth. “Anyway, you can’t tell anyone, okay?” She nods furiously. “So, there’s this girl,” he starts off with.

(Ochako’s heart sinks but she puts on a fake grin.)

“that I really like. Like, I like her. I wanna be with her in the future. You know, like my girlfriend. Hopefully more further in the future. Can I tell you why?”

(Ochako gulps.) “Yeah, of course!”

“Before coming to U.A.,” he says, “I didn’t really like myself. And no one really liked me. And one day, just before middle school ended, I tripped,” he feels his palms begin to sweat and he wonders why the hell he even decided to this.

(Ochako’s heart stops for a spilt second.)

“And she stopped me from falling. That was the first time anyone was kind to me in… a very, very long time. And I thought she was so beautiful that I couldn’t even think coherent sentences. And later that day, I fell again and she stopped me again. We happened to both get into class 1-A. And every single time I fell after, she was there to save me.”

Ochako’s mouth is open, her eyes wide. The gravity-quirked girl’s heart pounds in her chest.

“And I get to see her beautiful face every day. And I get to hear her voice. Most days, I can’t believe someone so… amazing exists. So perfect, in my eyes. Even when she’s yelling at me ‘cause I dropped her favorite snacks.”

That happened yesterday. Ochako almost actually strangled him for that. He got her double the amount she had originally planned on eating, which made up for it.

“Deku…”

“She’s my new dream.”

The brunette sits up halfway, her hand finding his cheek, pinky up. She leans forward, getting closer to him. Closer than they’ve ever been. Izuku’s left hand feels heavy but so nice on her hip, him using it’s placement to bring her closer to him, their bodies almost touching. He chooses not to close the gap completely until she decides to.

He feels her breath on his lips. Their eyes locked.

“I wanted to do something before making my mind up about my future.”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah. I wanted to tell this boy I like how I feel.”

“I think he’ll tell you he feels the same. He’d be stupid not to.”

“He is pretty stupid, though.”

“My dream wavered a little bit.”

Ochako chuckles lowly, tucking her hair again and putting her hand back on his cheek. “What’s you dream girl doing right now?”

“She’s about to kiss me. Could be any day now.”

“I love you, Deku.”

Izuku closes the distance between their lips, tilting his head so their noses don’t collide. Ochako kisses him back.

Izuku pushes his body forward, forcing Ochako onto her back. She wraps her arms around his neck securely, and they angle their faces so the kiss is comfortable and deep. But Ochako breaks it, “Closer, Deku.”

He complies to her gentle demand, adjusting himself so one of his legs is between her legs and their bodies are flush against each other. Then she drags him back down into another kiss. This time, it’s open-mouthed, their tongues coming in contact.

Izuku’s hands find her waist, gripping them in hopes of maintaining some self control. But, God, she feels so good against him like this. It’s definitely better than he could’ve ever dreamed of. Soooooo much better.

Even with his eyes closed, Izuku feels his eyes roll back. The sound of their lips smacking sounds in the room, though he doubts anyone standing outside the door can hear it.

She’s breathing hard, which he finds himself liking. Her hands travel over his shoulders and into his hair, one tugging lightly on his curls. He groans lightly into her mouth, encouraging her to do it again.

Ochako feels his fingers digging into her side. Her shirt rode up a bit, so his rough fingers caress her skin.

She doesn’t know what he does, but he does something right because her back arches and a moan—a noise she that had never escaped her before—slips from her. It’s then that Izuku stops kissing her suddenly and pulls away.

“Uraraka,” he whispers. She opens her eyes. He’s just above her, panting, his lips moist and swollen.

“Hmm…?”

“I love you. So much.”

Her body relaxes into the mattress. “I can tell.”

“Do you wanna… keep going? B-but I might have to keep stopping us. Just ‘cause…”

She understands. She isn’t ready for that yet. Ochako nods, “That’s okay.”

“Okay. And… don’t pull my hair. It’s… doing… stuff… good stuff. Too good.”

She chuckles, pulling him back down for more, “You’re so awkward, Deku.”

“Wait, wait.”

“What?”

He stares at her lips as if he hadn’t just stopped her from kissing him again. Then he looks up at her, “This means we’re together, right? ‘Cause this is good, but I imagine it’d be better if I was your boyfriend.”

“Midoriya Izuku, will you be my boyfriend?”

“Absolutely,” he answers, then he allows her to kiss him again.

Izuku likes the sound of that. Him, Uraraka Ochako’s boyfriend. Uraraka Ochako, his girlfriend.

He loves that.

~

The next morning, Izuku yawns as he walks into the dining room. Instantly, his eyes track down Ochako. She’s talking to Hitoshi, them both drinking coffee. Her hair is up in a ponytail (one of his favorite hairdos on her) and she’s wearing the same t-shirt and shorts she wore last night.

“Hey, Midoriya,” Hitoshi greets him.

Izuku waves, walking to them. “Morning. Did you sleep good?”

He shrugs.

“Great. I should remove coffee from your life. Maybe you’ll get sleep then,” Izuku deadpans. Hitoshi sends him a warning glare which Izuku ignores, looking down at Ochako—his girlfriend! “And good morning to you.”

“Good morning,” she smiles at him (dreamily). “There’s fresh coffee in the kitchen.”

Izuku wants to kiss her. He really, really does. But he isn’t sure if that’s appropriate right now. They only just started dating, after all. Would it be weird to kiss her good morning already? Isn’t that something couples do once they’ve been together longer than ten hours? (Having been awake only two of those hours.)

He isn’t sure, so he opts for a ‘her’ smile. “Okay, thanks. I’ll be back.”

“Wait, I’ll join you!” Ochako exclaims, getting up from her spot in a hurry, “I want to talk to you!”

“Good riddance. Didn’t need to witness anymore eye-kissing this morning.”

They both ignore Hitoshi as they walk into the kitchen, the door swinging behind then.

“I just wanted to ask you not to, like, say anything.”

“About us?”

“Yeah. It’s not a secret or anything. I just want it to be between us for a little bit. You know, to enjoy each other before the whole class starts prying in on it.”

Izuku nods, pouring coffee into his All Might mug. “That sounds good. If someone asks…?”

“Tell them the truth,” she answers and he nods again. Ochako approaches him and his attention is stolen from his coffee by her. He turns his body and she opens her arms, embracing him. Izuku hugs her back and leans his backside against the counter. “Good morning again.”

“Good morning. How’d you sleep?”

“Mm… after you left, I couldn’t sleep for, like, an hour. But when I did, it was marvelous.”

He chuckles, “Me too. I still feel like I’m dreaming, though…”

She nods, melting into him with a content sigh. “Same.”

They’re quiet, then. Her head against his chest, listening to his calm heartbeat. She knows not much between them changed since last night because, really, what were they doing before dating that wasn’t couple-y? Kissing and stuff aside, of course. They already had that foundation. The closeness. It was only a matter of time, she supposes. Them finally getting together.

This started a new chapter in their lives, though. It really brought them together…

She wonders if she should go visit Aoyama in rehab, tell him the news… he was the one that started the whole fiasco with her crush on Izuku, after all.

Izuku looks down at her when she scoffs.

“What?”

“I just remembered something. During our practical exams, I was partnered up with Aoyama against Thirteen. And you all asked what Aoyama said that made me turn all red and made me let go of the bar.”

“Oh, I remember that.”

She laughs, “It’s ‘cause we were stuck in that situation and I was thinking, ‘What would Deku do?’ and Aoyama, that dummy, asked if I liked you. It caught me so off guard that I let go of the railing… He was always teasing me about you after that.”

“You liked me for that long?”

“Is that all you got out of that? Yes, Deku, I liked you for a really long time already. Probably since before that. When did you realize you liked me?”

“I didn’t. I only realized once I actually fell in love. That was…” he thinks, “I started with, like, a casual school crush then it turned into a full blown crush a little before Blackwhip manifested, and I know I absolutely fell in love when you defended me from that mob. It was just One For All that kept my attention and I didn’t have time to think about my own feelings.”

“Wow, you sure have yourself sorted out. Everything I was feeling didn’t come out until Toga Himiko forced me to face my feelings, ‘cause I was literally shoving them down as to not distract us from our goals of becoming heroes, y’know? After the second war, I gave up trying to pretend I didn’t feel what I felt. And believe it or not, I was actually completely happy once I did.”

“Yeah. I, uhm… I only ever told Kacchan. About you. And that’s ‘cause he asked me out of nowhere. And I decided I wasn’t going go say anything, or confess to you, until after I had myself sorted out. I wanted to be able to love myself first. At the time, my self-worth was elephant shit,” Ochako laughs at that and he smiles. She pulls away, then he continues, “I wanted to be able to give you my all.”

Ochako gazes at him with his smile on her face. “You were always such a gentleman. Also. You’re so handsome.”

Despite everything, his cheeks flush. No one. And he means no one (except his mom) has complimented his appearance. Izuku has never been one to care about what people thought about his looks but hearing it now, from her, is something beyond new.

“Oh.”

Amused, Ochako repeats, “Oh?”

The door flings open. “Good morning, Ochako and Midori!” Mina screams as she steps in, Denki and a few others following. “Shinso used his quirk to hypnotize us into playing musical chairs! We only managed to get out ‘cause Kaminari accidentally electrocuted us all,” she explains as if anybody asked.

Morning greets are thrown around and Izuku brings his now lukewarm coffee to his lips, his eyes following Ochako as she exits the kitchen, shooting him a smile before leaving his sight.

“What were y’all talkin’ about?” Denki asks, getting himself a cup.

“Crazy dream I had last night,” Izuku responds.

Ochako sits back in her seat. Hitoshi sighs. “Look, I’m happy for you two, but please don’t start doin’ all that lovey dovey shit in public areas if you’re tryna hide your relationship. Ashido almost walked in on you guys.”

Ochako turns beet red. “Oh… I’m sorry. And thanks for stopping them.”

“Mhm.”

Ochako gets back to drinking her cold coffee.

~

She quietly admires Izuku later in the day during training. He is very attractive. She doesn’t know when she started really seeing his attractiveness, and in a way, she’s glad she’s the only one that really does. That’s all hers.

His frame is bigger, though he keeps himself on the slim side. He’s taller, though not by much. Shoulders broader, waist thinner, legs thicker. His facial features are still soft, but he looks older. His eyes aren’t as big and round anymore and his cheekbones are more prominent.

She watches him dodge an explosion from Katsuki with ease, though it’s clear neither are really trying yet.

“Ohhh, are you checking out Midori?” Mina asks teasingly. Ochako’s shoulders slump and she gives Mina a bored look.

“She totally is. She had googly eyes and everything.”

“Did not.”

“Did too! You were practically drooling over him.”

“Was not!”

“Was too! Stop denying it! You think Midori is hot!”

Izuku’s eyes blow wide, snapping his neck in the girls’ direction. Katsuki tries to use that opportunity to attack Izuku, but Danger Sense warns him and he dodges it.

“Dammit,” Katsuki grumbles.

He watches Ochako nearly jump Mina to shut her up and glances over her shoulder. Upon realizing Izuku’s watching, she burns red and shoves the girl and Tooru out the gym, yelling at them in hisses.

“Why do you look surprised? Ain’t she your girlfriend?”

You know—?!” Izuku hisses at Katsuki.

Katsuki shrugs, “Saw you this morning. Was too grossed out to say anything so I went to bed. Told mind-freak to watch out.”

“Kacchan—!”

“I ain’t gonna say anything, relax. Just be careful if you’re tryna hide it.”

“It’s not really hiding. We just wanna keep things private for a little while. Well, I guess it’ll always be private but us dating isn’t really a secret.”

“The fuck is the difference?”

“Private means what we do in our relationship isn’t anyone else’s business but ours, but you guys would know that we’re together. A secret is just no one knows anything.”

“Same shit.”

“Not the same. Can we get back to training?”

“When’d you finally grow the balls to tell her?”

Izuku sighs. He’ll just keep pestering, so it’s better to just admit it. “Last night.”

Katsuki almost looks stunned. “If I had to guess how long you’d been together based on that hug this morning alone, I would’ve said months.”

“It was just a hug.”

“Whatever.”

And they begin really training.

~

It’s only that night that Izuku and Ochako are alone again. Back in her room, Izuku on her bed and her sitting at her desk.

She has music playing lowly on her speaker as they do their homework. He’d already finished his, and she’s on the last bit of her own. Tenya was with them earlier but turned in early because he was feeling tired from training today. Of course, he urged them to get to bed on time as well.

Ochako can hear Izuku singing along to the song quietly, which adds to the comfortable ambiance of her room. Only her desk lamp is on.

Ochako scribbles down the last answer to their English (blegh) homework and closes her book. “Finally done.”

She spins her chair. Izuku’s looking at her, eyebrows raised.

“Hi,” she greets as if they hadn’t been in the same room for two hours already.

“Hey. Now that you’re free from the shackles of homework, would you be able to come over here?”

“Too lazy to get up.”

Izuku sits up and points his right arm at her. Blackwhip shoots out, grabbing the two armrests on her chair and drags her towards him.

“That’s useful,” she comments, climbing onto her bed. She sits beside Izuku, who leans back into her pillows. Ochako sighs and lays her head on his shoulder, stretching her fingers out in front of her. “Perfect.”

“Kacchan knows.”

“So does Shinso.”

They sigh at the same time. “Not even a full twnety four hours.”

She sits up again. “We’re horrible secret keepers.”

“As long as Ashido, Hagakure and Kaminari don’t find out…”

“And Kirishima. I love him dearly but that poor thing couldn’t keep a secret even if he wanted to. The other three are just assholes.”

Izuku agrees. But he doesn’t want to think about it too much, so he puts his hand on her back and rubs her gently. “Come here.”

She looks at him over her shoulder and complies. He shifts his body, opening his arms so she can crawl into the space between his legs and lay on top of him.

He supposes Katsuki was right. They are oddly… close (?) for two people that just started dating. Izuku supposes it has to do with the fact that they’d been longing to do this for so long and finally can. They’re past the point of nerves stopping them from doing what they want… and they made out for an hour the night before.

Instead of laying down like Izuku thought, Ochako kisses the corner of his lips. She then waits for him to do something. They hadn’t kissed since yesterday. He’d been longing to do it all day, though.

Izuku puts a hand on the her nape and pulls her in for a gentle kiss. She responds quickly, melting into him.

Only a day as a couple, but it’s already felt like heaven to Izuku. He already knows this is the person he wants to spend the rest of his life with.

He has loved her for so long now that it felt like second nature. But having her here in his arms finally… it feels like he just fell in love again.

And each second they spend together, he realizes he isn’t just a planet revolving around her. To her, he’s her sun. They play equal roles in each other’s lives, which, God, he loves it.

Each second they spend together, Izuku feels more and more like he was made for her. Like she was made for him. Like a lost planet that finally finds it’s orbit.

Life isn’t easy; Izuku knows that all too well. But… with her, he feels like he can do anything. So long as he has her, he has the strength and he hopes he has the same affect on her.

For now, though, he’ll thank their creator for linking his and Ochako’s souls. And he swears he’ll protect her and love her until kingdom come.
