   Bilbo Baggins enjoys few things: A good meal, silence, and painting; all of which vanish when a certain grey wizard stops by his little Hobbit hole one day. Driven by his Tookish blood, the promise to paint mountains, and some stubborn wizardly urging, Bilbo joins the Company of Oakenshield. Just when he thinks he can handle the company of thirteen rowdy dwarves, Bilbo discovers he has a legendary soulmate (or, a One). The leader of the company and future King of Erebor: Thorin Oakenshield.
   Not only are they fated to be one another’s loves, but every brush of a quill on Bilbo’s skin arises on Thorins’.
   Thorin quickly learns how much more difficult it is to reclaim his throne when his love is drawn out on his skin, while Bilbo learns how dangerous it can be to be The One to the steely, mountain-eyed warrior king.
