Summary
Life goes on as it ever has for Eliza and William a few years after she has taken over the Henry Scarlet Private Detective Agency. She is running her business as triumphantly as ever, and William keeps himself attended to his duties as Detective Inspector. Their friendship and mutual respect for the other has even blossomed into growing affection. One ordinary day, things take a drastic turn for the pair as William finds himself targeted by the criminal gang he's investigating, and is consumed by the case. Eliza is then suddenly faced with a bleak reality and a choice. Can she accept her new circumstances and be able to forgive William, or will she fall victim to the wake of this case-of-a-lifetime?
