Bardock got lucky with Raditz, the kid came with a name.. Sort of, the box technically said ‘RADISH’ but that was stupid so Bardock changed it a little bit.
Now, he was having a second son… Great..
Don’t get him wrong! He was excited for it, he loved Raditz and would do anything for the kid and he’d probably feel the same about the new born it’s just… Well, Gine was counting on him to come up with a name and he just couldn’t think of any!
Raditz was trying to be helpful, coming up with many names, “Apples, Pears, Oranges, Homosexuals, bananas.” but none of them really had a ring to them, they were so close-except for that oranges one, that was just a color- but didn’t quite scratch that name itch that Bardock had.
So, was walking around, hoping to stumble on another box with a convenient name written on it… hopefully empty this time since he already had a kid that needed a name so getting another kid instead of another name would not be productive! At the very least, he might get some inspiration.
And just as he thought that, inspiration struck. A garden, a stinky, ugly, rotten, abandoned garden full of wilted plants and signs of what each group of plants was supposed to be.
It repulsed Bardock to be around it, honestly, but each sign felt like it could be a good name. Now there was just one problem….. Too many options!
Then, he laid his eyes on a rock near the garden, it was smooth and throwable. He made a decision right then and there.
It was quite the odd sight! Captain B-Well Bardock wasn’t really distinguished, he looked like most lower class saiyan men…
A saiyan male throwing a rock at a rotten garden for seemingly no reason other than wanting to, but there was very much a very, incredibly important reason!
The rock flew through the air after Bardock gave it a good toss before landing on….
Carrots!
Okay, but it still was missing something.. Carrots..Carrots..C-Carrots..Ca-carrots…Cacorrots..Kakarot!! It was perfect!!
Bardock smirked to himself, he finally got a good name for the baby, he’s so glad that this child is being born.
Although he made such a big deal out of the name, he didn’t really care. He knew no matter what the child’s name was, he’d be the most loving father he could be and be there for him as much as he could.
His job required him to be away a lot, but he swore to whatever higher being there was-if there was one-that he’d be a part of his life. His little Carrot’s life.
