There are invisible strings threaded around every person, tying their actions and thoughts together, controlling their fates. Each tug and pull draws people into this way, that way. Rapunzel wasn't a stranger to those strings - she'd been wrapped up in them for most of her life, after all. Then Eugene came into the scene, and he swept her away onto an adventure that ended with freedom. She was content with that - why wouldn't she be? Silently, she wants more.
Was she ready to be tied down ? The answer was no, evidently. But there was only so much she could do. This was life, and she would overcome challenges sent her away. So, maybe she was a little glad that the whole Moonstone and Dark Kingdom fiasco cropped up when it did. One last hurrah, a journey to be remembered through out the rest of her life. Then there was Zel. She was a different person, but still Rapunzel - just without reservation, without fear, without care for anyone in the world, except for Cass. Maybe that was where it started going downhill. Was it that bad?
