[Carlos’s Instagram story: It’s a shot taken from behind the swirly slide inside apartment 2J. The lights are off and Camille, Jo, the Jennifers, James, Guitar Dude, Kelly, and Gustavo can be seen hiding behind the counter or various pieces of furniture. The apartment is decorated in party decorations and food and drink has been set out on the counter top. There is a massive gift box sitting in the middle of the living room. Logan is, interestingly nowhere in sight. The caption reads: “T-minus 1 minute before birthday boy gets back.”]
Operation Surprise Kendall:
Katie: Mom and I are bringing him up now. You guys better be ready.
James: We’re all set. And the extra “surprise” is in place too.
[Jo’s Instagram story: Jo is crouched behind the kitchen counter. The camera peaks over the counter top and is facing the door. The lock clicks as someone unlocks it and Kendall walks in, followed by his mom and Katie who are both also recording secretly behind him. Confused potato
If y’all are on the fence about reading the interview, here’s part of it. Kendall and Logan gave amazing answers and the entire piece felt so empowering as a gay man myself:
Q: So you both grew up in Minnesota. What was it like growing up in the Mid-West and how did that change when you guys realized you weren’t, for lack of better wording, into girls or exclusively into girls?
K: Well for me I kind of always knew there was something about me that was different. In middle school when most guys my age were starting to talk about girls and all that, I would often agree but then my brain would go “but also that one guy over there is kind of cute too.” So I basically spent all of middle school extremely confused because I started realizing I was finding both guys and girls attractive. It wasn’t until high school when I finally realized that I was bisexual.
L: I was in a similar boat as Kendall, except I was trying to figure out why when everyone around me was talking about girls, I was only really thinking about guys, namely a certain blonde-haired guy next to me. And it made it even more scary for me when I realized I was gay since I was also the awkward nerdy kid who was picked on a lot if Kendall, James, or Carlos weren’t around.
Q: Of course eventually you two did come out, at least to your friends and family at first. What was it like coming out to them and then to each other?
L: Hahaha, this is actually a really funny story. Like we said earlier, we were both lucky in that our friends and family were extremely supportive of us and they welcomed us with open arms. But when I was going to come out to Kendall, I was so scared. Kendall is my best friend and for some reason, I was extremely scared that Kendall would hate me or look at me different. So I avoided it for as long as I could until one day I finally decided it wasn’t fair to Kendall to not let him know this so I asked him to hangout alone one day. And I think Kendall can finish the other half of this story.
K: Wow Logie, way to just dump the rest of this on me. But yeah, so unbeknownst to Logan, I was also in the same situation as him and I was also freaking out about telling him I was bisexual. So when Logan asked to hangout alone, I just thought it would be the time to tell him. So there we were just hanging out at the park down the street from our houses and all of a sudden he turns to me all serious and he goes “There’s something I need to tell you, it’s kind of important.” And I’m freaking out internally because I thought “oh my god he knows, he’s going to tell me he doesn’t want to be friends anymore” and I just went “wait, before you do, I need to tell you something too.” And I guess that surprised him or something because he paused so I just blurted out “Logan, I’m bi.” And Logan sat there in shock for a few seconds and I almost got up to leave when he grabbed me and pulled me back and said “Kendall, I’m gay.” And honestly, it’s kind of funny looking back.
L: Yeah, it’s funny now but oh my god I was so nervous about how you would react. Then when you just said you were bi my brain needed a while to reboot.
Q: And now, you’re both part of a very well known band with millions of fans, some who are younger than you guys and may be going through similar experiences as you. Is there anything you’d like to talk about being in out and proud in Hollywood and is there anything you’d like to tell your fans?
K: I think I can speak for both Logan and I but we both just want to be the kinds of people that middle school us would have turned to as role models. Growing up in the Minnesota, we weren’t exposed to a lot of the LGBT culture and that did make it harder and more confusing for us to figure things out for ourselves. Especially for me since you don’t see a lot of bisexual men in the media or in pop culture. But now, we’re hoping that we can help empower LGBTQ+ youth and help them find the confidence in themselves to be unapologetically themselves.
L: Yeah, and I’d like to just add on. To anyone who might be trying to figure out their own sexuality at the moment, I just want to say, we support all of you. It’s scary yes but you’re not alone in any of this. Even Kendall and I are just two people in a large community of people who will welcome you with open arms.

I know when Kendall first revealed they were dating, iluvbtr mentioned rewatching old interviews, concerts, etc. Well I went and rewatched them recently and like Kendall and Logan are so physically affectionate with each other????
Like they’re always touching if they can, whether it’s Kendall throwing an arm around Logan or the two of them standing next to each other and having their shoulders or hands brush or straight up just hugging each other. Heck, the amount of heart eyes they make at each other during performances or other events is off the charts. Not to mention all the soft moments they’re caught in on camera.
We’re really privileged they both choose to let us in on these glimpses in their lives because their relationship is just so happy.

Mrs. Knight: Attention everyone! It is time. Today we will again decide who will be crowned Sir High King Lord of the Pranks. You will all have until noon today to prepare. May the best win!
Logan: THE CROWN WILL BE MINE!

Jo: So, who’s out so far? It’s been 3 hours.
Kendall: Well, from what I’ve seen, Kelly got Gustavo, Mom took out Katie, Lucy took out Jennifer 2, James was hunting down Camille, Jennifers 1 and 3 haven’t been seen, and surprisingly Logan hasn’t pranked himself out yet.
Carlos: James it out, Camille got him with fake tanning spray.
James: CAMILLE THAT WAS SO NOT COOL!
Camille: It was too easy lmao
Jennifer 2: Lucy just pranked Kelly with a jump scare.
Logan: Jo just got the other two Jennifers.
Katie: Mom got a face full of pie from Kendall. You better watch out big brother, she’s going to get you back some time.

Kelly: Well, Carlos is out after falling for Logan’s rope snare.
James: Camille just got Lucy with the saran wrap door screen.
Lucy: I would be mad if it weren’t for Kendall taking out Camille with a banana peel right after lol
Jennifer 3: Logan just took out Jo.
Carlos: Wait, then who’s left?
Jo: Logan and Kendall.
James: Wait, Logan didn’t prank himself out? Holy shit this is a first.
Lucy: You guys need to get down to the lobby. Kogan is having a stand off.
Katie: We’re all on our way.
Camille: OH SHIT! LOGAN WON!?!?!?
Carlos: Omg, I’m amazed.
Jo: I got a video of it all.
Jo sent a video.

Kendall follows but doesn’t notice the trip wire Logan jumped over at the doors. Kendall trips over the wire and causes a massive amount of water balloons to fall on him. The rest of the participants can be heard gasping in shock before breaking out into applause and cheers.]
Kendall: You know, I should be mad I lost but honestly I’m proud of Logan for winning. Congrats Logie.
