Chapter Text
Suzui Ryota had just left class as he wanted to meet up with Yumeko, Mary, and Itsuki. I wonder what we are doing today. He wondered as Yumeko had promised to actually not gamble for a couple of days. “It’s rare that Yumeko agrees to not gamble.” Ryota was shocked that Yumeko had even suggested it because he knew how addicted Yumeko was when it came to gambling.
As Ryota walked about the quiet hallways, he never noticed that someone was following him until he had bumped into that person. “Ah, sorry about that.” Ryota’s gaze locked onto Kiwatari Jun’s hateful gaze. Fear crept into Ryota’s soul as he started to tremble. Why is he here? He thought, wanting to know why the taller and much stronger student was in front of him.
Ryota didn’t have a good feeling about Jun being in front of him and Jun’s next words made Ryota worry more. “Jabami and Saotome completely embarrassed me. It pisses me off.” Jun’s hands were trembling as he glared down at Ryota, wanting to hurt him since he was close to both Jabami and Saotome.
Ryota trembled. “It was just a gamble.” He spoke, his voice wavering as Jun’s glare got more heated. Eep! He thought, not realizing that he had squeaked in fear out loud. The sound caused Jun to look at Ryota with an evil smirk. He sounds like a girl. He thought, smirking at the young man. Ryota was confused about why Jun was looking at him like that but he also didn’t want to be around the violent young man.
“It may have been just a gamble to you but because of it, I’ve turned into a housepet.” Jun growled out at Ryota.
“Why are you mad at me?” He asked the taller young man, wanting to know why he was so angry as he knew that Jun was a good gambler and that he could just gamble his way out of his housepet status.
“You’re so pathetic, hiding behind Jabami and Saotome. Lucky for me, they care about you.” Those words drove an icy feeling in Ryota’s heart as he gasped at his head being yanked back by Jun.
“Let go.” Ryota begged Jun to let him go.
“And have you run to Jabami and Saotome? Oh no, I’ll let them come to me.” Jun’s words made Ryota put up more of a struggle and he was rewarded a punch in the face for his efforts. Why me? Ryota couldn’t believe it as he continued to hold onto Jun’s uniform shirt but he had stopped fighting against him. He didn’t want Jun to punch him again.
Jun dragged Ryota to a classroom on the upper floor and he ignored Ryota’s grunts of pain until he had dropped Ryota onto the floor, causing Ryota to groan from the hard landing. “Please don’t hurt me.” Ryota begged Jun to not hurt him but the taller man wasn’t even listening to Ryota. He just wanted someone to have revenge on and that someone was going to be Ryota.
“Shut up.” Jun growled out at him and Ryota quieted himself, seeing that the only way to appease his captor. I need to get away from him. He thought, trying to figure out a way to be able to escape from Jun’s clutches. He can break me in half if he wants to. He thought, fearfully. Ryota hated that he feared Jun but he knew that it was also because of the fact that Jun was a bully. Ryota stared down at the ground, not wanting to be there any longer. He knew what he had to do and Ryota knew that it would end with him getting a broken bone or two.
Ryota got to his trembling feet and he rushed at Jun, trying to run past him. However, his attempt at escaping pissed Jun off and the young man punched him in his stomach, causing Ryota to double over in pain as he coughed, trying to get air back into his lungs. “You got lucky, Suzui. I don’t want to break you too quickly.” Jun’s words made Ryota wish that he had managed to escape but he knew that Jun’s hits were powerful. That one blow to his stomach made him literally gasp for air! He can really kill me if he wanted to. He thought, wanting to be back with his friends, where he knew he would be safe.
“P-please.” Ryota begged, not wanting Jun to hit him again, however, Jun didn’t get the memo as he had hit Ryota once again. He didn’t hit his stomach, however. Instead, he had punched Ryota in his cheek, causing a red mark to appear on his face.
“I said shut up, damn it!” Ryota flinched at Jun’s angry shout as he trembled in fear. I need to stop angering him but everything I do angers Jun. Ryota thought as he watched as Jun approached him. “Finally, you’re quiet.” Jun smirked at Ryota, unable to wait until he broke the shorter teen. Jabami and Saotome will do whatever I want just to protect this wimp. He thought, darkly chuckling at Ryota.
He knew what he wanted to start with and it was that thought that made Jun pleased to wait until the next day to torture Ryota. Before Jun left, he knew that he had to keep Ryota quiet in some way and he then noticed a roll of tape in the dresser and he grabbed it. He ripped off a big piece of tape and he smoothed it over Ryota’s lips, gagging the teen.
Jun stepped back from Ryota to see how the gag looked on him and he smirked. Perfect. He’s quiet now. He thought, a smirk on his lips. “You just stay there.” Jun spoke as he tied Ryota’s arms behind his back, keeping him unable to break free from his bonds. Jun walked away from Ryota, leaving him alone in the classroom.
Ryota tried to scream but the tape over his lips prevented very loud sounds from escaping. He then groaned, seeing that he wouldn't be able to escape as he tried to pull apart the rope that was tied tightly around his wrists. After a few moments of pulling, Ryota groaned, seeing that the ropes were too tight for him to simply pull apart.
I should have ran away when I had the chance.
He thought, upset at himself.
Now the others will have to focus on saving me.
Ryota was deeply saddened because he thought he was ruining things for his friends. He feared that they would blame him for not being careful.
