Chapter Text
"So I supposed you want to ask me what happened to Cooro." Husky grumbled, a saddened frown on his eleven-year-old face.
"Yes, exactly." Nana stated, nodding. "Weren't you supposed to be watching him while me and Senri were gone?"
Husky's eyes watered a bit.
Boy, how was he going to break this to her?
"I did, but..."
Nana's eyebrows raised.
"But what?"
Husky rubbed the scars on his side.
"Someone shot at the two of us with arrows. And I'm scared he may not live."
Nana's eyes widened in response.
"Where is he?"
As much as Husky wanted to admit otherwise, Cooro didn't survive the spat with the hunters.
And that was too bad... wasn't it?
Cooro opened his eyes, and then balked at what he saw.
An Inuit man was standing over him, his eyes glowing gold.
"Why the crap do peoples keep getting isekaified into our world? I'm sick and tired of it!"
Cooro backed up, jaw slack.
The Inuit man was wearing red and gold armor, and a beat up grey fedora.
He had golden triangle-like markings underneath his eyes, black eyeliner-like markings over his eyes, fuzzy sideburns, bringing to mind a 70s mecha anime protagonist, and black hair with a bleach blonde ombre, which went down halfway down his back, and was fairly messy and curly.
The man sighed, and calmed down.
"Okays, I think you're here for a reason."
He held out his hand, as Cooro hastily held his out and shook it.
"Qhkarus Colmare. Jus' call me Puggsy. What's your name, little girl?"
Cooro's eyes widened.
"Girl? But... I'm a boy!"
Puggsy rolled his eyes.
"Another trans guy. This one's gonna have protagonist syndrome for sure."
Cooro didn't know what he was talking about, as he didn't even know what a trans was.
"I don't know what you're saying." Cooro stated.
Puggsy threw up his hands.
"Well, screw that, then. I'm sending youse to the GREP. Kaz'll explain everythin', I'm in a bad mood."
Cooro didn't have time to react before he got sent through a golden portal...
Landing on Rachel's desk, face first.
Rachel was an anthromorphic reed frog, and the GREP's lawyer.
She pulled away her hands just in time, looking at the +Anima before her.
"What in the Exoverse...?" She said in her deep, husky voice.
She glanced up at the golden portal that was just closing.
She paused.
"Puggsy, of course."
"Okay, but why did Puggsy send her here?" Kaz Kalinkas, the he/him pronoun'd nonbinary leader of the GREP (Grendelonian Revolutionary Exoversal Patrol) asked, rubbing his neck.
"Maybe it's something like me." A Jordanian man wearing a Precure-style transformation trinket around his neck stated. "Maybe she got isekai'd in."
Cooro was being nursed by Bertie, who was treating her bruises.
"Yeah, and Puggsy's probably pissed off at her for being isekai'd in." Bertie responded.
"It happens." Kaz adjusted his ponytail.
"Yeah, it happens, but it happens way too much." Sarah responded.
Kaz shrugged.
"And what are we gonna do? Puggsy has a bad temper, y'all should know that by now."
Tom facepalmed as Kaz continued.
"You know you shouldn't mess with our literal god."
Cooro tilted her head as Kaz continued more.
"If she got isekai'd in as a girl instead of her original gender, that's on the Exoverse. Maybe the Exoverse wants her to be a girl."
Sarah sighed.
"Yeah, but he literally threw her through a portal and onto Rachel's desk. That's handling a girl too rough."
"And you think Puggsy cares? Look at how rough he handled Penny."
"That's different. She can handle it."
Sarah looked incredulous.
"And you think this little girl can't?!"
Cooro brought out her wings to try and hide from the argument, as she shuddered.
Kaz raised his eyebrows.
"Okay, so this one's a were."
Cooro shook a bit, as she opened up her wings slightly, an eye peeking out.
"+Anima, actually..."
"Ah. Were with a fancy name."
Bertie sighed, and motioned to Peyton to get food from the fridge.
This was gonna be a long day.
