Work Text:
I still remember third of December
Me in your sweater, "you said it looked better
On me, than it did you, only if you knew
How much I liked you," but I watch your eyes
1989. The year Kakyoin Noraki, Avdol Muhammad, and Iggy the dog died in order to save Kujo Holly. Their sacrifices only known to a few. The sorrow of their passing still haunting those who held them close. Their memory will never fade, same can be said of the trauma caused onto the lasting three.
Noraki, every time he was asked if he regretted it he would always reply: "No." Depending on his mood, the smile he would hold would have different underlying meanings. He would never explain his feelings to Avdol, even if he always stated he was open to letting him vent.
"How could I regret what I did? I want Jotaro to live and be happy. His family is safe. He has a career he loves. If my death means this, I wouldn't change it for the world, Avdol."
Looking down at Jotaro and his wife, Kakyoin smiled. He jumped down from his little cloud to stroll next to his old friend. He hummed, looking at the both who were silent, hands clasped behind his back.
As she walks by
What a sight for sore eyes
Brighter than a blue sky
She's got you mesmerized
While I die-d
Soft brown hair that barely brushes the top of her shoulders. Blue eyes that matched the hue of sweet cotton candy. She enjoyed the comfortable silence of the walk home.
"Why would you ever kiss me?
I'm not even half as pretty"
You gave her your sweater
It's just polyester
But you like her better
Wish I were Heather
The wind started to pick up in the late autumn day. The sun would be setting soon, causing the heat to move to the other side of the world. Without a word, Jotaro slipped off his coat to wrap it around the smaller frame next to him.
"Maybe you do take after your great-great grandfather, Jotaro." Kakyoin teased. His voice just being another breeze to hit the living Japanese man's cheek.
Watch as she stands with her holding your hand
Put your arm 'round her shoulder, now I'm getting colder
But how could I hate her? She's such an angel
"But then again, kinda wish she were dead."
As a moment of gratitude, the brunette took her husband hand into hers before wrapping her other arm around his. A giggle and a smile graced her blushing face.
This caused the cherry-red haired man to stop in his tracks.
Why would you ever kiss me?
I'm not even half as pretty
You gave her your sweater
It's just polyester
But you like her better
I wish I were Heather
Wish I were Heather
(Oh, oh)
Wish I were Heather
Why would you ever kiss me?
I'm not even half as pretty
You gave her your sweater
It's just polyester
But you like her better
"Oh Jotaro," He chuckled to himself solemnly, his lavender eyes looking at the backs of the couple as they walk away.
"Wish I were was alive."
Every time Avdol asked if he regretted it, it was a partial lie.
