Ever since the Apocalypse the humans have sold themselves to the Angels as slaves for the Angels’ enjoyment. The Angels pay well for the services exchanged and being an Angel’s slave is in high prestige so when one Dean Winchester finds himself depressingly short on cash it isn’t surprising that he turns to an auction house to offer himself up.
