Summary
Kaminari’s penchant for brightly colored bracelets that line his wrists and forearms just seemed like another symptom of his bright personality. Too bright… if you asked Bakugou. But his opinion of Kaminari was permanently molded into a solid Before and After. Before he’d presumed the boy was naive and dumb, all of his bright smiles and mischief stemming from some sort of boundless fountain of energy within. After… he knew better.
Todoroki had noticed the boy at first as something of an irritation. Loud and bright and shining like the sun. But somehow, that irritation had eventually died and he’d been left with an admiration… and a craving. If only he could be so bright. If Todoroki wanted to bask in that sun… it was a secret he kept close to his heart. So perhaps that was why, when he began to understand that the sun was hiding something behind it… Todoroki wanted to reach for the sun… if only to make sure the clouds never touched it again.
Or... Kaminari doesn't realize his secret has gotten out and he can't figure out why everyone is suddenly being extra nice to him.

And if Mina dragged him out to get ice cream and play Pokémon GO the next day, he hardly complained. He even let her toy with his app long enough to rename most of his Pokémon after their classmates.“Bakugou as a shiny Cyndaquil though?!” Kaminari asked between fits of laughter.
“It fits!” Mina insisted with a giggle.
Somehow he found himself nodding sagely in agreement as he struggled to keep a straight face. “I can see the resemblance… spiky… orange and yellow. It’s Bakugou.”
“Exactly!”
If he happened to save the pair of Vulpixes named Todo and Roki and the Bakugou Cyndaquil to his team later that night when he was alone, it wasn’t anyone’s business but his.

“Uh… thanks?” Denki stuttered out, unsure how to answer that offer. Why would the single most emo person in their class offer to be a listening ear? He hurried off after that, almost relieved to find Sero, Mina, and Jirou playing cards in the common room to serve as a distraction.Tokoyami offering to be a listening ear was definitely weird.
