Summary
The world is falling apart—literally. Lysette's faith is unshaken, but her will and her nerves are tested as demons rain from the sky. Only the appearance of a so-called 'Herald of Andraste' spares her life. Torn between gratitude and skepticism, but determined to repay her debt, she volunteers to join the fledgling Inquisition. Between the confusion of relief efforts and arguments with her equally baffled colleagues, she finds an unexpected form of solace: a friendship with the gruff and overworked apothecary.
