Summary
In July 2003, Shim Changmin is barely sixteen, gangly for his age, and has it on good authority that he only looks like an undergrown q-tip on bad days. He’s also never met his soulmate, but given that Shim Changmin is, after all, barely sixteen, this is not cause for alarm, because most of the research says you don’t meet your first color until you are, for all intents and purposes, an adult.
So when he meets Jung Yunho—two years his senior, two years his sunbae, one hell of a dancer, and beautifully, vibrantly red—and the first thing the older boy says to him is, “if you’re going to quit, you should just do it now,” Changmin feels like someone’s dropped a stone into his chest.
