“I’ve never seen you look like this,” Neuvillette continues. His lips are downturned. “You look… nervous. Have I done something to offend you?”
And that notion is so preposterous that Wriothesley can’t help it—he barks out a startled laugh. This seems to deepen the frown on Neuvillette’s face, so he quickly reigns himself back in, desperately trying to think of something reassuring to say.
“No, no,” he starts, and like the absolute brainless fool that he is, he blurts out, “you have a new outfit.”
Oh, fuck.
Wriothesley sees Neuvillette's new outfit and promptly loses the ability to think.

"The mere sight of Neuvillette without his judicial robes was already enough to tug at the edges of Wriothesley's barely-restrained desire - there’s no way he’ll be able to see the Iudex in any less without those images consuming his nights for the next several months at least. Yet he watches regardless, as those first few buttons are undone and one side of the shirt falls, exposing a little of Neuvillette’s collarbone and shoulder. And it’s enough - more than enough - to tell Wriothesley that looking was a bad idea."
On a business trip to Inazuma, Neuvillette and Wriothesley bite off more than they can chew by deciding to travel to the Kamisato Estate on foot. The weather leaves them hot, bothered and in desperate need of a cool spring to soothe their agitated bodies and frayed nerves. Good thing they're in onsen country, right?
But the physical heat between them isn't the only thing they're feeling. And what happens when you combine years of longing with exposed skin, thick tension and uncharacteristic forwardness? That's anyone's guess.

“Sometimes,” He ponders. Whether a secret should remain as such. Frank was his best friend. Is his best friend. His hand sits on his chest and he counts the beats that come. To and fro like the sea caught in a storm. “Sometimes I wanna be a girl.” He swallows hard. “Well, more like all the time.”
It was Frank’s turn to gawk. Face redder than before. Admires the splay of Gerard’s hair as it fans out against the blanket. The night is so quiet. So quiet and suddenly Gerard is prettier than he’s ever been.
“I think…you would make a good girl.” He immediately regrets saying it. Shakes his head. Scrunches his face. “Do make a good girl.”
Gerard smiles small. They're looking at each other now. And Frank means it. Means it so much, it does something to his skin. Like some electric dome and it's surrounding him. Surrounding them. Frank smiles back, just as small.
