Seven had arrived early to the party at the mess hall. She was in the kitchen area, putting the final touches on the cake. Naomi’s mother Samantha had suggested they wait and surprise the little girl with the cake once everyone had arrived.
It was Seven who was surprised when a familiar voice behind her said, “Escaping the party already?”
She looked up, already smiling slightly, to see Janeway walking towards her in her white silk tunic. It made her look relaxed and happy.
