Summary
With their next comeback fast approaching, tensions are high and everybody is stressed. After accidentally causing an injury to one of his members at dance practice, Seungmin goes back to their dorm alone. Feeling guilty, even though he knows it’s not his fault, he tries to make dinner for his members. Hiding his own injured wrist and not expecting the knives to be as sharp as they are, Seungmin cuts himself badly, but not wanting to be a burden, he doesn’t alert anyone. When the others finally come home, they’re in for a bad surprise when they find their second youngest sitting in his own blood in the middle of the kitchen.

Wordlessly, Seungmin extends a hand. Soft-looking palm, skin slightly flushed. Short, cleanly trimmed fingernails. Chan remembers all those weeks ago, sitting in the hotel lobby, mashing his eggs and wanting to curl up and die as Felix waxed poetic about Jeongin’s fingers, but—
Maybe Felix had a point.
And maybe this is what Seungmin means. It might not make Chan happy, but perhaps it can at least distract him from the unhappiness. Maybe that’s all Chan needs. Maybe, at least for tonight, that can be enough.

Summary
“Can I sit next to you, sweetheart?” Chan whispers.
Seungmin shrugs and pretends he doesn’t care, pretends like he didn’t secretly tell Felix to insist to sit with Jeongin so that Chan would have to sit with him, pretends like his heart didn’t skip a beat when he opened his eyes to see his not-so-secret boyfriend’s silly little grin.
Chan pinches Seungmin’s cheek and settles in next to him. “Thanks, baby.”
Seungmin slaps his thigh and ignores Chan’s pained whine. “Shut the fuck up, hyung,” he hisses. “You don’t know who could hear you.”
Chan pushes up the armrest between them and snuggles into Seungmin’s side. “I don’t care, puppy. You’re mine. I don’t care who hears it.”
Seungmin groans and attempts to push Chan away, but he doesn’t put any strength behind it. (Spoiler alert: he never does.)
