He hadn’t realized how intensely he’d been staring at him until Julian’s eyes finally met his. Julian leaned down further, holding eye contact as he went, until his cheek pressed against the hood. He nuzzled into the warm metal, shoulders shifting, eyelids fluttering shut.
Albert was growing restless. With each passing second, a mounting nervousness clawed sharper at his throat. His gaze flickered to his wedding ring, then to Julian’s. He wanted out of this driveway, out of Juliet’s potential line of sight. He wanted to feel more than metal and only one of Julian’s fingers. He’d been promised a ride tonight.
