This story was inspired by the beautiful fanart of Visenya and Daemon by @Ackerbangbang on Twitter.
Seeing that drawing made me wish—just for a moment—that things had gone differently. That Visenya had lived, that Daemon smiled like that more often, and that Rhaenyra got the ending she deserved.
So I wrote a little fantasy. A soft AU. A love letter to a daughter who never got the chance.
