    Sometimes, when sleep finally came, Dean would find himself back there. Among tall trees and heavy fog, in a freezing forest where monsters lurked. And Benny would be there. His blue eyes brighter than anything else in that place, more vivid than the sea.
     
    And suddenly the air wasn’t as cold, and the forest wasn’t as dark. And the monsters lurking in the shadows were gone. leaving only the two of them, sitting side by side, before a small fire only the human needed.

    Dean recognizes all of this before, his biggest issue, unfortunately, is how to deal with the past without changing his future.
