“I’ll make it happen,” Anaksa mutters pettily to himself when he hears the complaints circulating the Council. Still, it gives him an idea—that this idea happens to fulfill both his desires and his husband’s only multiplied its weight by the millions.
“My desires will never be hidden from you,” Mydei murmurs against Anaksa’s lips, just a few months later, when he breaks the news to him. It’s terribly sweet, Anaksa thinks smugly to himself, even as he chases the warmth of his husband’s lips when the other man tries to lean back.

Summary
Anaxagoras and Mydeimos wasted no time beating around the bush. They'd been interested at their first meeting, and quickly allowed themselves to be swept up in each other's feelings. This, Anaxagoras believed, was the beauty of being straightforward. Varka doesn’t quite choke on his own saliva, but it’s a close thing. “Fifty what now?”
“Oh, don’t be like that,” Dori scolds with a shake of her head. “Anyone else would be asking for much more – it’s not every day you stumble upon a book this old and this useful too! A guide to courting for, ah, individuals specific to Nod-Krai and Snezhnaya? It’s practically a trove of information, Sir Varka! Really now, it’s only because you’re my most loyal, most esteemed, most valuable customer that I can afford naming such a low price.”
Or: Varka gets swindled into buying a Fae courting guide, written by a human for other humans. He's also forced to come to terms with his own feelings regarding a certain Lightkeeper (who might or might not be Fae). Shenanigans ensue as he attempts to follow this dubious yet somehow effective guide to the very end.

Golden Cheese Cookie doesn’t pay any mind to it, despite that. Instead, with a dismissive motion, she said: “It’s not about what I need. It’s about you three.”
Mold Dough Cookie blinked. “...Us?”
“Yes,” Golden Cheese Cookie smiled measuredly. “I had briefly forgotten about this while having to deal with some things──” she made a vague gesture with her hands as she spoke as if it would help him understand what ‘things’ was meant to be, “──but now that they are dealt with, it came to my attention I never gave you three a proper meal.”
Mold Dough Cookie didn’t know how to respond to that immediately. When he could finally manage words, all that came out was: “A meal?”
Or, Mold Dough Cookie and his siblings get to try a proper meal for the first time in their lives.
