Summary
Insomnia festers under his skin. Its been curled around his rib cage, prying the bones apart and settling in that hollowed out space. It doesn’t help that Stiles is worried about what he’ll see if he closes his eyes. The ceiling has become an all too familiar sight. Sometimes Stiles is glad when a car passes by outside and he gets to watch the light dance across, making that familiar sight alter and become new for a few moments. He’s taken to leaving the curtains slightly open to allow the streetlight outside cast a soft glow over his bed. The dark feels too oppressive.

Summary
Peter carefully shaves dark chocolate into a porcelain bowl, listening to Stiles’ rambling explanation with an emotion he can only describe as a fondness. Peter has often found himself in the test kitchen when It’s Alive is being filmed - sometimes by accident, sometimes by choice - and Stiles voice has become soothing despite his penchant for going wildly off topic. Stiles meanders down the path of explanation, stopping to investigate every interesting avenue before arriving at the final destination. His videos are popular though, his personality and quirks appealing to a wide market.

Summary
Stiles is using the copy machine to make posters for the Halloween bash the store will be throwing on that haunted day, when Peter comes in. Peter does not work here. Peter works in a fancy lawyer's office downtown, doing mergers and scamming old people out of their pensions or something of that nature. Stiles doesn't know, he makes it a point not to care. Not that Peter dresses like a lawyer, with his v-necks and motorcycle jackets and criminally tight jeans.
"Stiles," Peter says, tilting his sunglasses down his nose to give Stiles a once over. "Are ironic t-shirts all you own?"
Stiles screws his face up in fake laughter. His t-shirt has a black lineart illustration of a fish with a 1920s style gun and fedora, surrounded by text that reads 'I partied with the Mobb, 1997 IBC Convention, Richmond Virginia'.
