GAMZATTI (PRINCIPAL)
The title made Melinoe’s heart jump out of its cage, while the role brought it sinking back down into the pit of her stomach. After eighteen years of ballet, she’d finally made principal, but somehow she still hadn’t taken Selene’s place. Gamzatti was not the female lead of La Bayadere - that was Nikiya. Gamzatti was a secondary role, the jealous princess who kills her.
But then who could possibly be -
The studio door creaked open, and all heads turned to look. Class time was sacrosanct; No professional would dare interrupt without warning.
“Sorry, am I late?”
A young woman with box-dyed silver hair poked her head through the door. Her face was cute, but with a hint of something wicked hidden underneath. Like Audrey Hepburn with blood on her hands.
It was her.
“Just on time,” Hecate said. “Take a spot on the barre next to Melinoe.”
She tore through to the final page.
NIKIYA (PRINCIPAL)
Eris
OR: Melinoe and Eris are destined to make each other famous. Whether that fame will be born from ballet or a double homicide remains to be seen.

Summary
In 1797, Captain Elias Bouchard set sail from London in command of three ships, promising to return with incalculable riches for crown and country. A year later, the ships have vanished. The islands of the Magnus Archipelago have swallowed all traces of survivors and riches alike.
Gwendolyn Bouchard is the last person who should be sent on the rescue mission to find her uncle's lost ships. Unfortunately for everyone, she has a medical degree and a family keen to put an ocean between her and them. Gwen gets assigned to Lena Kelley's ship as they set out on Captain Bouchard's trail, and Gwen finds herself almost as unprepared to live alongside common sailors as she is to deal with the supernatural dangers that await them.
The islands are awake. The islands are hungry. And they're not very sensitive to the fact that Gwen is kind of falling in love with her most irritating shipmate.

Summary
Melinoë looks back at the corpse prince. As she watches, parts of him begin rotting, melting into blood; his gray skin bubbles and peels and falls into the ground, his muscles going to liquid, and she sees his bones and his innards and then straight through him for a terrible few seconds before she wrenches her eyes back up to his face. His eyes are vacant, glassy. They hold all the certainty of a mirror. She says his name, unable to help herself. And then his eyes, too, are gone, melting into the ground with the rest.
Melinoë picks up the bloodied scrap with a shaking hand, tucks it among the rest of her things, and continues towards Olympus.
