Excerpt:James approached, drawing the smaller man into his arms. Tony fought him, drawing up fists and beating ineffectively at James’ chest as he cried. James let him, standing motionless as Tony wore himself out, finally slumping into James’ embrace.
“Why?” he demanded, hanging there limply and glaring up at James with eyes filled with betrayal.
“He hurt you,” James replied simply, reaching out to tuck a strand of hair behind Tony’s ear.
Tony’s lips quivered and he clenched his eyes shut to mask his disbelief. He seemed more surprised that James admitted it than he was by the declaration. James pulled him in closer and, helpless to resist, Tony surrendered.
