"Huh?" Denji stepped back from her outstretched appendage, startled. "What do you mean?"
"You heard me! You stay, I'll be the one to leave and then you can go after."
"What the hell does that matter? Listen, lady, I have stuff to do. Business stuff. And it's on a need-to-make-rent basis, so don't even ask."
The fiend scowled and stomped her feet into the damp ground. "I have business stuff to do too! Important business and it's on a need to know basis so don't even ask!"
"I wasn't going to!"
"Say what? But it's super interesting!"

Before Chainsaw Man, it was just Pochita and Denji—two souls struggling to eke out an existence under the weight of an impossible debt. They had eachother, and they figured that was enough. But when various people see fit to invade their lives, demanding he learn things like hygiene, or nutrition, or the warmth of a hug and a homecooked meal, their lives get a whole lot more complicated.
But, hey, maybe having a family wasn't such a bad thing to get used to?

Summary
There was something wrong about Reze. She could feel it in her bones. No one was that put together in high school. No one got to be smart and athletic and pretty and mysterious and charismatic and—anyway her point was! No one is ever that perfect.
Plus the bombings around Tokyo kept lining up a little too neatly with Reze’s absences. Asa was going to get to the bottom of it if it killed her. And if it turned out she was wrong, well... She would simply die of embarrassment instead.

"Will you cast Denji into hell with me?”

This is far from the first time Kohane has spent the night at An’s. In fact, she does it whenever her parents allow it; staying at An’s apartment above Weekend Garage is much safer than walking all the way home on event nights, is her usual excuse. They’re both used to it, a comfortable atmosphere built in the shared space; Kohane knows An’s bedroom almost as well as her own. Tonight is another of these nights. A warm end to the day, one that should be routine, void of any butterflies in her chest or nagging thoughts at the back of her mind. Tonight should be no different than usual.
…Well. A few words exchanged at the back of a live house a few weeks ago, and the kiss that accompanied them, the change from singing partners to girlfriends… that’s enough to warrant anxiety, Kohane thinks, as An leads her up to her bedroom.

Armed only with her own wits, and a fragile truce with fellow human weapon Quanxi, Reze must learn to navigate this new life, and protect those she begins to care for. Not least from what the Soviet Union will send to bring her back...
