“You wanted to… to talk to me?” Greg says, looking back, over his shoulder, as he opens the door into his little hovel for the night. It’s a somewhat overly indulgent option for a long term stay – silk sheets, dazzlingly white bathroom, floor to ceiling view across Manhattan – not that he chose nor pays for it.
“Three guesses why,” Tom says, checking that the door has solidly closed behind him.
Greg nervously smooths at the part of his hair. “Uh, I could ponder a…”
“Here’s a hint – ” Tom forces Greg down with a dig of his fingers into the soft meat of Greg’s shoulder, putting him down to a more manageable level on his knees. “Bad dog.”
Greg offers a protesting squeak, as he lands with a thud on the carpet.
“I think someone needs his nose shoved in the crap he pulled tonight.”
