    Peter felt his stomach drop to his feet. He knew something was bound to happen. Things were going too smoothly and leave it to his mentor to embarrass him before they could make a getaway.

    He wondered if it was too much to ask for the ground to just open up and swallow him whole.

    Peter's class happens to show up at the same convention Tony is presenting at. Of course, he finds out and pays his favorite intern a visit before they could leave. He, along with the rest of his class, finds out exactly just how much he means to Tony.

    "Harley's out there," he answered. "It sounds stupid when I say it out loud, but I'm worried. I know he's going to be fine. There's a bunch of people looking out for him, but I can't help it, you know?"

    Ned snorted and gave him an exasperated look.

    "How's it feel to get a taste of your own medicine?" he snarked.

    Peter shoved him lightly, and a smile pulled at his lips.

    "Don't be an ass, man. I-"

    That familiar buzz started up in his ears.

    He stopped and immediately twisted in the direction of where his senses were suddenly going haywire.

    Something was coming. He tried to drown out the sound of the chatter around him, but he couldn't tell if the fighting was getting closer or if he was just imagining it.

    "I really hate the fact that you have a tell when something is about to go horribly wrong," Ned groaned, dropping his head in defeat. His best friend had seen enough of that look in his years of Spiderman-ing to know exactly what it meant.

    OR

    There's an attack on New York, and Peter is stuck in school while Harley and the other Avengers are out there dealing with it.

    At least until Harley accidentally brings the fight to him instead.
