“Will’s eyes seem to focus, and their gaze sluggishly drags over to Mike. His hazel eyes were tinged slightly green, so Mike knew he’d been crying earlier, and his pupils were strangely dilated, looking like large black dots spotted in his iris.
Did they drug him?
Will blinked out of sync, eyebrows knitting together in effort to get a sentence out. “Mike?” He slurs, head lolling slowly to turn to him. “Wha’ are you doin’ here?”
Yeah, he’s definitely high.”

“The only one going down—” Spider-Man started, catching the man’s attention, but was unable to finish the thought. He suddenly seized up, collapsing, unable to move from the intensity of his symptoms.
“Who would’ve guessed?” The man cocked the pistol and placed his finger on the trigger. “I get to be the one who kills Spider-Man.”
TLDR: Peter starts getting mystery "episodes" where he's unresponsive without explanation. This doesn't mix well with being Spider-Man and having an anxiety-ridden mentor.
